Best TV for $1500

Shopping for a TV for my parents, looking to spend ~$1500 taxes in, can stretch it a bit. Size doesn't matter, brand names preferred. Any suggestions?

Since you said Brand Names preferred, the best brands IMO are Sony and Sharp for LCD and Panasonic for Plasma

At that price, either a 42" plasma or 37" LCD, and likely Viewsonic, LG, Samsung Toshiba, etc.

If none of those brand names appeal, I suppose a 32" Sony LCD would fit that price.

Toshiba 37" REGZA model 37HL66 is what I'm saving for (and waiting for a deal, of course :D )

They had a 42" Samsung plasma for $1299 or so on boxing day. Don't remember the model exactly. Was gone quickly though. I thought that was a good deal.
