Game Consoles at BlockBuster?

Has anyone actually purchased a game console from BB before?

I know they've been around forever but I took up memebership only recently, mainly to trade in a bunch of older dvds (their $5 minimum deal). I've now got some $ on a BB giftcard, and was hoping to use it to buy a Wii if/when they become available.

I've been asking the BB counter dudes at a couple of stores so far if they intend on carrying consoles like the Wii or PS3 for sale when they become available. So far I've had no definitive answers - mostly "maybe" and "perhaps", and one "no, we don't sell game consoles, period" (even though I think I've seen gamecubes and PSPs on sale at BB)

Has anyone bought game consoles from BB before? Thanks.

i dont see why not, they get it from the same source as everyone else.
the only issue i can see is that some stores might not be able to sell the units very quickly, and may end up with a stock of consoles with older version firmwares (might be a good or bad thing)

Look for 'game rush' stores...(check website). They would be the only stores most likely to carry consoles, especially new stuff like WIIs and PS3s.

I bought a pre-played PS2, N64, Genesis/SegaCD/32X combo from them before for dirt-cheap prices :D

But yeah, you'd do best to look for a Gamerush store. They usually carry them but very low amounts :(

my BB sells 360s...well actually just one from what i see on display...ps3s and wiis i wont count on it until very much later on.
