Looking for the name of a movie....

My bro and i were talking about this movie we watched a few times when we were really young ~15-20 years ago.

Basically from what we remember there are couple goups of kids that have a huge snowball fight, some of which are dyed with colour. At the end someones dog gets burried alive in the snow, and all the kids stop the fighting...

It was a dumb movie looking back, but we both though for a while and couldnt remember the name of it.
