Have seen single 4Gb *Kingmax* for $50, so depending on what you want, perhaps this is good or not?

*factorydirect.ca

However, they may come free on Post cereals in 2007:lol:

If brand is not a concern, Factory Direct has a 2gig card for $29.

Best Buy also has 2x1gig cards for the same price.

If you're wanna spend $29 for a 2G SD card, might as well go with Future Shop's ATP 60X 2G SD Card (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10058295&catid=) for $43-$13MIR offer.

Do a search for ATP SD cards on RFD and you'll see that the brand is fast and reliable.

Is it true that this kingston one is slow?

I don't think it's all that reliable. I bought it months ago and recently, it got some corruption. Re-formatted the card and hope that it doesn't come back. And some card readers won't detect the card. Mine works with it but I couldn't get it working on another.

I think I'm staying away from Kingston. Don't know about Impact but it's sold out where I am.

Some cameras won't read anything over 2 gigs. I think they need a special driver for anything over that.

The ATP card claims 10 MB/sec, Kingston just 5, fwiw.

Yeah, over 2 GB the cards have to be formatted differently, and some cameras, etc. can't read this format.

It's me who mentioned that this model of SD card is slow. As said in its spec, this card has 5Mbps (Read); 1.5Mbps (Write). It's like a standard USB 2.0 speed, which is actually slow, compared to the high speed SD card (like USB 2.0 full speed as 480Mbps). You can differentiate its speed when you copy a file over 1M bytes. This card is good for digital camera use to take a picture, but not good for capturing video, or tranfering large size files between that card and computer.
