Remember both futureshop and bestbuy have a 15 day return policy.:twisted: Personally i prefer the OCZ one (due to speed) but got to admit this is a great deal for Sandisk.

I find this deal strange as best buy owns futureshop...how odd.

i don't know if the micros are different but i don't recommend the sandisk cruzers.

i got a 2 gb sandisk cruzer mini as a gift with a computer purchase and it worked for all of 2 days before becoming unrecognizeable. after hours of trying to fix it and reinstalling drivers and whatnot.

i got a new 2gb cruzer mini and this thing was just as bad. the slowest transfer rates i have ever seen. and whenever you transfer something to the drive, and then copy it back onto a computer, errors would develop.

i'd read some reviews before jumping on this deal.

Not sure if the 8GB version is the same, but the 1GB version is slow and has a cheap feeling to it.

I'm afraid that it is 14 days.

If your purchase is less than 30 days (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Static/static_pages.asp?pagename=help_policy_returns)from Staples, you can get a price match adjustment. :razz:

But neither Bestbuy or Futureshop is selling it at a lower price. It's only a lower price after price match between BB and FS. :confused:

Did you pay less than the current FS price of $89.99 at Staples?

Otherwise, you may bring your receipt back to Staples within 30 days of your purchase and ask for 110% price match:

Staples ===> $189.99

Future Shop ===> $89.99

PM Staples with Future Shop : $79.99 + tax

Well I technically paid $99.99 for it (I bought it when it was on sale). But I used a $10 off $100 coupon to make it $89.99. Would Staples give me the $11 PM?

They'll PM the original sale price you paid (i.e., $99.99).

The difference after 110% PM:
(99.99 - 89.99)(0.1)) = $1.

You'll get a refund of a loonie. :)

Edit: PM price = 89.99 - 1 = $88.99.

Since it's 110%, do you mean $11 [$10 (difference) + $1 (10% of difference)]?

Oops! Forgot about the last part.

Yes, you should get your $11 refund if Staples don't give you the Boxing Day sale /limited quantity BS as the usual FS weekly sale ends on Fridays (but this one ends on Jan 02, Tuesday).

Good deal!

Actually, this afternoon I PM'd the 2GB Cruzer Micro at Staples in Pointe-Claire (Montreal, QC). Staples had them priced at $119, and boht FS and BB had them on sale at $39.99.

After PM'ing, I saved about $8 + tax and the final price I paid at Staples was $36.45. :D The manager was incredibly friendly and accepted the PM as the sale price was part of a week-long sale, not a "boxing day sale".

Tonight, I went with my gf's bro to the Staples in Marche Central and boy did we have fun. I wanted to PM a second 2GB Cruzer Micro for him and it should've been a cakewalk.

But then the manager of that particular store refused to honor the PM. He said "no store in Canada, nowhere, noplace, will ever accept a PM during Boxing Week. NOBODY. You can go anywhere, and nobody will PM that. Any sale during Boxing Week is unacceptable, etc.. (insert bag of BS here)."

I listened for a while and then just pulled out my receipt from earlier in the day when I DID get the PM from another Staples. He looked at it, had a blank stare on his face and then said "I'm still not going to give it to you. I don't care. This store won't honor the PM".

I responded "That's not the definition of a guarantee. Not to mention the item is not part of a Boxing DAY sale, but a weeklong sale similar to any other sale throughout the year. Nowhere in your PM guarantee do you mention that certain weeks of the year are excluded"

He responded "It's not written, I know, but I'm saying I won't give YOU the PM, simple as that."

I responded "Wow, that's great. A PM policy that is arbitrary and one that you will not honor. Where's your customer service number. I want to complain."

He runs away to get a number, and then says "We only accept a PM from the closest FS/BB. If they're out of stock, then we won't honor that deal. I've dealt with that PM many times today and they have no more stock."

I was kinda flabberghasted, seeing as NOWHERE in their PM guarantee does it mention ANYTHING about distance between a Staples and the nearest competitor. I was already tired of arguing with him though; CLEARLY he was making the rules as he went along and I felt it was time to use tools that were at my own disposal instead of listening to dog-feces pouring out from a running faucet.

I finally went to Reno-Depot and walked around while leaving a 5+ minute message to customer service detailing my entire experience. Not only did I feel like Staple's policy is entirely arbitrary, there's absolutely no consistency between stores. The first manager was friendly and terrific. The second manager made comments to the point that I felt like I was being racially discriminated against... (i.e. "... Sure, it's not written down, but I'm saying I won't give YOU the PM, simple as that"). Do I have to have blonde hair a pair of khakis to get a goddahm PM to work. ?:P

Anyway, just wanted to share my own personal experience with you. I hope he reads this and comments on it. I praise great service and I rip apart poor ones too... and this was definitely one of those latter times.

Just came back from Staples. They price guaranteed it without any problems. I got $11 + tax back. :cheesygri

So my final price was $99.99 - $10.00 Coupon - $11 Price Match = $78.99 + Tax :!:

I'd go for the OCZ Rally 2's, I have one myself and they perform very well and are fairly priced. I got mine at canadacomputers.
