Can i get price match if the tires are on sale now?

i bought a tire at canadian tire 2 weeks ago and it's on sale now. Can i get the price match(juz the tire price)?

I don't think CT's Boxing Day prices has anything with CT's price protection. I finally got through to the West End Edm CT Tires sales. The lady say 2 weeks back is the maxium which means I'm out of luck. :(

On Oct 25/2006 I paid $94.99 ea (before tax) for 205/60R16 GoodYear Nordic (reg 109.99), they're on sale this week for $82.49.

You can still technically buy the tires, and return them on the old receipt.

Unless you got them installed by THEM as well which would be reflected on your old receipt as well.

I bought mine 2 months ago... why would anyone expect a price match? Because I'm cheap! :D

I've priced matched months after at Costco but of course their policy is much more flexible.

I'm not sure 90 days for tires and auto parts apply like it does with the other store junk? I called the store's CS and they said they don't have anything to do with the tires and they transfered me to the service dept.

BTW, did anyone catch last weeks CT deal? 1/2 price on 2nd All Season tire they stock. Sounds pretty good... does CT have even better sales?

Tires are a seasonal thing though ... buying winter tires when they are in huge demand (ie at the beginning of winter) compared to when they are in low demand would have a huge effect on price.

You bought tires when the supply was lower and the price was higher ... now you want money back because supply is up and demand is lower ...

Might not be worth it in the middle of winter:
1. You only have 2 months of winter left
2. Extra rims and tires takes up a lot of room in the garage
3. What happens if your car gets wreaked in the summer (happened to me)?
4. Winter tires can get expensive:
Mounting $15 x 4
Rims $60? x 4
Old bolts might now fit $3? x 20?

But 25% off Goodyear Nordic is pretty good. Maybe it'll go to 40% off like the old Nordics did last year? I'm going to get another set next year with studs... CT will stud for $18.

Buying tires from the store is like a regular item, you still go through a cashier in the end.

Getting them installed requires the service dept. If you bought them and had them installed elsewhere then by all means go back and ask for a price adjustment.

I bought a set of tires thinking I'd get Costco to install them (as Costco is much cheaper than CDN Tire). Instead I sold the car a month later so I went back and returned the tires. If your receipt is separate from the installation, I say do it. Yes I'm a cheap bastard too lol.
