with the new one and refunding the used one?
I'm planning on doing this with my copy of GRAW. There's no way of finding out right?
I'm planning on doing this in Wal Mart.

Once you open the game, they will not accept it. All retail stores follow this, unless something happens to the disc that renders it useless. I've heard of FS exchanging games, but only with a receipt.

If you mean getting a new one and your money back no there is no store that will do that.Very few stores will take opened games back if you find one they will just replace the same game.Yes they will check the game you bring back.

Sounds a little illegal.

Does your game not work? If it doesn't work then bring it into Walmart and tell them you want to exchange it because it doesn't work. Assuming you have the full case and whatnot. Or did you get one of the bad GRAW games that came with the bundle and has no case? If so you have to RMA it with the company.
Assuming you have the GRAW packaged with the xbox and no case, the only other possible excpetion(sp?) and I'm not sure if it would work is to buy the game from Walmart. Replace your game with their game in the package, return their game for an exchange with a wrapped package. Then return that wrapped up game for store credit at Walmart. They wont give you cash back because you wont have a reciept to shwo them but they will give you store credit.

Yeah, it came with the bundle. It doesn't work though, that's why I planned on doing this. I don't want to go RMA just for that, and I don't want my parents knowing I bought the 360 since they check the mail. (My parents absolutely hate it when I buy electronics; even when they're on sale.)

Are your parents blind? How can you hide a 360? Do you only play after they are in bed - otherwise I would think they would notice a new system sitting in your room.

Had a similar problem and did my GRAW return with Blockbuster. I also had problems with GOW, and got it exchange at FS with no receipt, since it was a gift. I had MS talking to a maneger at FS, and even got them to try the new copy. Ofcourse never got a receipt after the exchange, that's why I was making sure the new one works. BTW, there is some bad QC with some of the XBOX 360 games.

No:
1. When did I say it's in my room?
2. It's in my basement where my parents never go to unless getting something.
3. I hide it after I finish playing
4. When and if my parents do come while I'm playing, I have time to react and hide the system (since I can hear them coming downstairs)
5. Why do you care?

What are you laughing at? Are you under the assumption that I'm over the age of 19 and still with my parents?
FYI I'm 16 with a job.

???
As far as I'm aware, you just need to contact Ubisoft about the defective disk and they'll send you a new one. You don't have to send the whole system back to MS. Heck, you could probably exchange your bundle with another one where ever you bought it and keep your HDD.

This thread asks if the switch technique works at Wal - Mart, while the other thread asks if it can work at any other store. But whatever I'll lock this.

they will exchange a defective game but they will open the new one before giving it to you so that you cannot get a refund on an open game

next time you might want to post 10 threads or more asking about each store in each one of them........sure, that makes sense now.
