I picked up a DI-784 wireless router before the Christmas break and setup the wireless in the house. The problem is, about every 5 minutes my laptop gets disconnected from the router. Even right now I am connected to the router but my computer says that I'm not. When I get disconnected I open up wireless panel and click connect, than cancel right away and it's fine againe. I can browse the net no problem even though it still says I'm not connected.
The laptop works perfectly fine at my house in Toronto with our Linksys router so I'm not sure what's going on. Could't find anything usefull on google but my google skills have been lacking lately. Any suggestion that I could try?

Let me guess - the 4 lan lights are on solid but not 4 computers are plugged in.
Router has a known problem and is infamous for doing that. This is mentioned by anyone who has worked with these things, and on the internet.. It's been speculated that it is a hardware defect causing this and there is no fix for it.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't planning on keeping the router anywho. Just picked it up for the Christmas break for the girlfriend so she'd have wireless at her parents house while home for the holidays. Guess I picked the wrong random wireless routher. Meh Maybe I'll be able to exchange it on Tuesday.

All 4 green ligths are not on. So it might be something else, just can't figure it out.
