and to think I wasn't going to buy it with the 2 year psp. 360 = headache :| I've been reading alot it seems that MS has alot of DUDS out there especially if you have a chrome hard disc.

Mine's been good for 2 weeks+ so far. Had it running for like 8 hours straight, no overheating problems or anything (yet).

Never had a problem with mine except the occasional freeze. When I turn it on, I usually leave it on for a full 8-10 hours.

I had a launch unit that bricked out in March, Microsoft sent me a new one and it's been perfect since.

First of all, I'd recommend returning that unit and checking out a thread in the Hot Deals section to snag yourself a GR:AW holiday pack for under $400, taxes included. Takes a bit more effort, but it's worth the $100+ you will save.

On-topic, I've had my Xbox 360 since December '05 and have yet to have a problem with it. It has an occasional freeze when I try and hit the Guide button when it's trying to a bunch of other stuff, but that's about it. My experience so far with Microsoft products has been great, even with the original Xbox. It's even better now that they have extended the original 90 day warranty to a full year. There's never been a better time to grab a 360.
