yes, FS/BB's website have crashed, just like prev. yrs, but i think they've improved every yr actually...

'04 - nobody could access the website when boxing day went live

I've got a question though. If I know an item will be discounted during the boxing day period, can I go out and buy it now at the regular price, and get it price protected when it gets discounted?

read their LPG ... it specifically says they won't honour PMs for doorcrashers/ltd qty items (esp. for this case which is BD/W)

you'll be REAL lucky if a CSR does it for you on the BW period.
