Anyone know which credit cards extend (usually double) the warranty that is provided by the manufacturer? I'm sure I've heard of this service and want to figure it out before I go to purchase the LCD TV I'm planning on getting.

Has anyone had any experiences with this extended warranty and whether it works? Was it useful or did they do nothing and try to avoid the repair?

Any info would be great!! Thanks!

Citi Enrich

I believe the Enrich does not have the warranty extender, not sure about the gold version.

Carefull thou,

PC Mastercard has extended warranty but doesn't cover extended warranty on computer parts. CIBC (and most others) do...

I recommend you take a look at the extended warranty section in the terms and condition of the Credit Card and be certain what is and isn't covered.

Personally, I have used my CIBC extended warranty before and the service was easy and great. I always keep my reciepts in a folder, and visa statements in my filing cabinet. So I can easily find them. No point of extended warranty if you can't find your reciepts/statements to claim the warranty.

Hope that helps :)
