my friend talked to him and he doesnt have receipt and plus its opened.
hes willing to invite him in his house to test it out..but sony will require receipt for warranty..so beats the purpose..but good price though

It is sweet, I don't have 1080p, but on 720p it looks amazing!! If you have a surround sound system it is wicked.

I called Sony and i think you should I don't which Sony you calling but Sony Just need the S/n to have the manufacturing warrenty... I think you should call them before you write something Down.. Maybe this was like 10 years ago but everything is changed now.

oh ya? and thats why when you goto the canadian website it gives you a link to the american site for warranty (same as canada)

and it says in the middle and also in the MANUAL of the PS3 as i got one(for us and canada)

and i quote this from the site as it was easy for my to copy and paste

" VALID PROOF OF PURCHASE IN THE FORM OF A BILL OF SALE OR RECEIPT FROM AN AUTHORIZED RETAILER WITH THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE MUST BE PRESENTED TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE"

so im guessing sonys website is lying. would you trust a random person @ a call center or a service center or the manual/website which is more of a "written in stone"

and btw i called a local sony service center in gta to verify that.

i was just addressing an issue...nothing against you or your sale. i think you are giving a good deal

I finished resistance...I gotta say...its pretty crappy...I liked GoW so much more.
Give PS3 year more...then it might have better games.

If you have PS3 then call them and tell them that you lost the Receipt.. then the warrenty is in effect from manufacturer to retail Date.. Try it.. I did and i even spoke to CSR....
