I have a VCD bin/cue file. Using Daemon tools, can I just copy the AVSEQ01.DAT file, rename the new file with a mpg extension. Burn that to a dvd and have my dvd/divx player play it?

If it's a bin/cue file then just burn the image using NEro or something that play it on your player. It's already formatted correctly, so why would you convert it again which would likely cause a further reduction in quality? Your dvd player should play the CD.

I would like to put several movies onto one dvd and not have multiple CDs.

It's going to depend on the player. I think it should probably work, but your best bet it to throw it onto a rewritable and check it out.

The proper way to do what you want is to use a program like VCDEasy's (http://www.vcdeasy.org) MPEGTool and properly strip out the MPEG file from the dat file. Then you can burn the proper MPEG files with Nero.

I'd use VCDGear to convert it into MPEG-1 standard. Takes like 10 seconds.

Yeah, do it the proper way and use software instead of just renaming the extension. BTW, it's not only DivX players that can play mpg files.
