I am looking to get two DCs for my nieces, but only have a budget ~300 before tax for both. What do you guys recommend? I like Canon personally, I have a A70 which I have used for more than 2 years and still don't feel like upgrading it yet, but Canon DCs are too expensive though.
Some features nice to have:
>2.0 inch LCD
>=5.0MP CCD
3X Optical Zoom
Movie mode with sound
Use cheap CF or SD card
Slim profile

Thanks a lot!

Yeah, the A430 is decent enough. Older model, but the sale on the A530 ended already, so....

PM at BestBuy to get another $2/ea ($4 total) off. :) Brings it to $16 over your budget I guess.

It's 129 at Real Canadian Superstores. Maybe at Loblaws as well, I don't know if Loblaws is selling at the same price.

The good thing is, you can get 2 colours there (they have blue and silver/grey at my local RCSS) so each can have their own colour.

Maybe you could get Future Shop or Best buy to pricematch if you want a different colour. If you want a receipt scan (I purchased this saturday so it shows no tax as well!), let me know.
