View Full Version : Got the SPG MasterCard

I recently applied for the SPG card for my mother online. However, weeks later when I recieved the card in the mail, it was in my name. At the time, I thought that they just put the wrong name on and its probably still her card. Surprisingly when I called in to activate and confirm, they assured me that it was actually my card (confirmed birthday, maiden's name etc...). Now this is very odd because i could have screwed up in the application somewhere, but i am positive i put her sin number and employment information on. I have no idea how they managed to get my information and i am pretty sure they dont give this card to university students with annual income under 10k :razz: Also, the credit limit is very suspicious because its only 1000 (quite low if it was for my mother because she has an impressive credit record and a decent job). My question is, is this really my card? More importantly, does it affect MY credit portfolio with the bureau, or does it affect my mother's?

Especially when I didn't even provide them with any relevant information about me?

perhaps they somehow melded my mother's employment information and my personality into one gooey entity :cheesygri

i requested my credit report from equifax so hopefully i will find out soon enough

If it turns out they really gave me the SPG mastercard, it woudl be quite funny since I make close to no income and have a disgusting credit history :twisted:

Why are you so happy about it ? How are you going to travel a lot with no income ? It is pointless to use it if you do not travel, I got it and just put it in the drawer, only use PC MC now. At least I get free groceries now and then.
