Im desperately in need of a new computer for the xmas but im not sure of which places to look at, my old computer shop closed down. I took at the deals in MDG computer, they are attractive but blah, i heard too many bad things about them. Im not a big fans of big companys like bestbuy or futureshop cuz they price their computers for more then what they are worth (i know, ur playing for the services, but fairly good at taking care of my computer).
Is there any place besides mdg that i can get something similar to their Horizon LC or XL (http://www.mdg.ca/en/flyers/english/). Small business computers shops are fine, just want to know if they are reliable and truthful about there components. If they have a webpage, that be great too. Much appreicated.

if you know nothing about computer (which you sound like it) then buy it from Dell. It's easier and cheaper then wasting your time going from store to store. If you purchase complete care you are pretty much covered for everything.

Trust me, i know alot about computers. Its not cheaper but easier going to dell. I rather go around to stores so can save $200 or $300 then paying for a brand name and a bunch of services i dont need. I can take care of my computer. Its just that my previous computer store closed down and now i need to search for another bargain computer shop. If only i knew how to build one myself.
Ps. thanx for the tips so far, ill be sure to check them out.

If you know a lot about computers then you'd be building your own system.

If you a lot about computers then you'd be building your own system.QFT. I have the knowledge and experience necessary to build systems (thanks to taking apart non-working computers and ending up with a few working ones) but I don't (look at my username... I just like OSX. Having said that, my next system may be some self-built C2D system running Leopard :D)
