A cheap 360. I missed out on the deal FS had on PS3's release day so i'm hoping for the same if not something similar to that deal.

I would expect some pretty agressive pricing on non-1080p LCD TVs and some plasmas- my guess is the old model Sony 40" on sale at BB right now will drop further and the 42" Panasonic plasma that is going for around 2k at present will drop to around 1800 on the big day itself. Expect to see any leftover toshiba HD-A1s drop as well as they are replaced by the XA2.

Hopefully, I've been dicked around by staples trying to get one. In store the manager was being an absolute dick about price matching. Phoned up the staples ordering center, and was able to get them to Price match, I was promised the item would deliver on friday (today)
I phone in at lunch to see if I can pick it up from the store. "Oh, no it didn't show up"
"... did anyone attempt to contact me about this yesterday or today?"
"uhhh... no"
Well that's fantastic.

I'm hoping (a lot) that the 360 gets a nice deal on. Because I'm saving my money for it.

I'd agree with the lower price on TVs, and I'd expect to see some clearence prices on no-name TVs at FS and BB

boxing day sucks. Theyve sucked for the last 5 years. its now just a glorified advertising event, to get you into stores with no hopes of actually getting good deals.

Some old crap that no one would want the other days of the year.
Ex:
- Big Edtv TV
- Some noname MP3 player
- Very low end Laptop (stuff that don't sell anymore)
- DVD-R, DVD+R... lot of them....
- And don't forget the great "ghost" deal on FS and stooples like the $29 Polk Audio 10" Subwoofer last year...
Boxing day is a scam. You will have better deal just before and in Jan/Feb. There is some real deal, but they are so limited that only few people will be able to get them.
But, like every year, I will be on RFD with my money in hand looking to spend it, but guess what, on December 27th, I will still have this money in my hand... Same story every years.

I am in Montreal and shop alot in Plattsburgh NY. Since our dollar has been so low, I noticed alot of toys and computers and such were the same price here (if not lower) than the US. I suspect this year our Boxing Day will be spectacular!

Now that FS & Best Buy are charging for shipping, won't that kinda put a damper on the fun?

The bigger problem is that for Boxing Day stuff, you basically have to place one order per item unless you REALLY want to tempt fate, which presumably means maximum shipping $$$$...

what could get worse is if they jack up the s/h charges for some items... prbly the hot ticket doorcrasher items... >_>
watch out for those stunts.

Future shop will probably have:
- Plasma TV
- Digital Camera
- DVD-R+R's (with some stupid Mail-in Rebate of course)
- LCD Monitor (hopefully a 19" one)
- DVD Recorder
- IPod
- Laptop
Sort of naming off the popular items that FS would gets peoples attention with.
;) ;)
