I believe someone got a Panasonic 50" Plasma (TH50PX60) for $ 2600 at the Bay and had posted the info. Not sure if Bay can beat this price.

This is the TV I want. I have seen it for $1999 before but it's about the best you can do on this set at this time. Hope to see it for $1500 in mid 07.

Given the fact that there is a $600 to $800 CAD difference in price between US and Canadian equivalent pricing, these things are going to be dropping soon.
I'm waiting for a 42" 1080p panel with native HD resolution to come out.

42" 1080P panels are out in LCD and the bang for buck is excellent check crutchfieldcanada.com out, I love my westy and so far I have paid $1489 plus tax but still have till Jan 8 to see it lower.
Personally owning both a 42 plasma and 42" LCD at this time I would choose LCD

Yes I know Gary and the gang at G&G for over 20 years now. They are very close to my home in the Rouge Valley area.
Great store and good service. If you want to meet someone cute, go and see Crystal, this 5' tall really cute brunette. She used to be at the Pickering Sony store before she moved here.

I heard that the prices might sneak up a bit after boxing day. The new sets are suppose to come out in March/April and they have to keep supplies going until then. I don't know what will happen to the older TV's in April, but they should be trying to get rid of them to make room for the new stock.

Yes it's exacly this model (TH42PX60). The price showed up for probably not even one day then disappeared. Too bad I only made up my mind on this TV AFTER that day.
