I find sympatico is already over priced compare to inter.net or acanac's 5mbps service.

With the kinds of plans they have these days, its still a horrible deal.

I just read on Digital Home Canada that Bell ExpressVu will have another price increase of $4 after Feb 1,2007. I am getting tired of these price increases while my service stays the same.

Right now expressvu is having this 50% promotions on receivers and programming. Can this 100$ credit be applied on top of that?

This reminds me of gas stations working together to keep gas prices high. Not good news for customers of these providers with the price increases.

Don't go signing any long term cell contracts:

www.freethenumbers.ca

My bell contract has expired and if I were to renew I'd pay the same money for half the features. I'm switching to Virgin as soon as this comes through (use the same towers acc to virgin's site)

This deal is asking to be molested by Bell. They also doubled their onetime contract cancellation fee to $400 probably realising they were going to lose whordes of customers with number portability.

Isn't virgin a Bell / Virgin joint venture? I don't think foreign companies can own canadian communications companies outright... I would really like to know where "bell" ends and "virgin" begins. I don't like the idea of being bamboozled by brands, but underneath, it's the same billing and customer service infrastructure etc.

(Ever called a business and had the receptionist say the wrong name, because they didn't pay attention to which line the call came in on, then correct themselves? "Thank you for calling Be... I mean, Virgin Mobile!"

Any comments on this? Anyone know the deep down connection between Bell and Virgin? has it been discussed in another thread?
