Dell's 12 Days of Deals is back just in time for Christmas! As with past sales, we should expect some great deals on LCDs, hard drives, and other goodies! This time the sale runs from December 7th until December 18th with a new deal every day around 7 AM EST. Sometimes quantities are limited, so it pays to wake up early to see what is on sale.
Nice set of LCD's for Day 8. Axim for Day 9? Printers or webcams are other popular Days of Deals items that have yet to make an appearance.
Dell's Days of Deals Day 9:
Creative Labs 4GB Zen V Plus Video and MP3 Player - $149
Pure Orange Sports Aqua Mouse - Toronto Maple Leafs (or choose 1 of 5 other teams) - $24
Belkin Wi-Fi Phone for Skype - $169 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&offerid=88712.353556446&type=10&subid=)
They also have a special a pre-configured Inspiron 6400 laptop which will arrive at your door within 24 hours for most major cities. It features a Core 2 Duo T5500 processor, 1GB RAM, 120GB hard drive, and 15.4" screen, for $1149 with free shipping.
Here's the RFD link that you can use to help support RFD:

The 2007WFP was $379.99 past September, not to mention I've seen members post about simply calling in to get the $379.99 price. Sigh~ This was the only thing I was looking forward to too. Just hope that I'll get an IPS panel.

That's also what I'm waiting for. If they are selling 2007FP at $399. 2007WFP should be lower. But anyway, I don't want to wait any more. Overall, it's just $20 difference.

Yea I notice that it's $399.99 too. I'm pretty disappointed so I guess I'll wait until next year. I was hoping to dump my 2405FPW for some dual 2007WFPs, but I guess I'll wait sine the price isn't that good anyways.

Does the sammy have Composite + DVI (HDCP) + VGA support? Also, does the sammy support aspect ratios where you can have the monitor add black bars instead of stretching the image? Does it feature a IPS/PVA panel? I guess not.

No for the composite but who wants to use that over DVI?
No for ips/pva panels but you saying sammy's lcd screen is inferior to the ips?
Not sure for the aspect ratio but I imagine your software media player could add the black bars.
Now it's a personal qestion of whether the features and $50 price difference of the 2007wfp is worth it over the sammy.

Exact answer to your question can be found here:

Most would agree IPS > PVA > TN
However, this is a matter of constant debate, especially those who expect a IPS panel would not settle for anything less and would rate the PVA very poorly.
I've seen several reviews where it states the 2007WFP stand as rotate-able so that you can put your monitor in a portrait position. Can't seem to find this mentioned on Dell's website so can anyone confirm if they do rotate or not?

Yes, you can pivot the monitor in a portrait position with no problems. I sometimes do it when I do some HTML "programming" with Dreamweaver, etc.
I have two 2007WFP that I bought from Dell's days of deals back then (around June I think) with a few coupon codes. My friend ordered an extra one along with my order and we were able to apply some coupon codes that brought the price for each monitor down to about 350$ each tax inculded. I am now using them and they are great for the price I paid. Really worth the investment.

There is a $30 USD mail in rebate for the Skype phone is you sign up for their one year of Skype out. I can not confirm the exact details right now but I think the rebate is from Skype.
If that is the case that would defiantely make this a warmer deal...
Also from what I have read the Beklin Skype is different than most of the other Skype phones in that you can use it WITHOUT a computer.
It also works on 802.11b/g networks and supports WEP/WAP/WAP2.

The Creative player is actually a great deal for 4GB of space, not to mention all the extras (video, fm, voice recording, line in). The interface isn't as smooth as apple's offerings and the screen is only 1.5 inches but comparing it with the nano in terms of features this blows it out of the water.
there's a in-depth review of it here (with video and audio samples):

The Skype phone can be found on the Belkin website, for $199 US
http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=282077
After using web code '12345', price might drop by 40% or so. Factor in shipping, CAD conversion, and tax, and you'll likely be no better off (still worth waiting for the phone to be back in stock though, nothing to lose).

The Skype phone would be good especially with the rebate, except the battery life is horrible. It averaged 6 hours when not even connected to a Wifi network!
The Belkin phone was just reviewed by the guy who's been reviewing all of them for The Register, and he said that the battery life was very good compared to the competing models. He got about 5 hours of talk time and a couple of days on standby.
He also said that the feature worked fine, unlike some of the previous models from the same source released under different brand names.
Biggest remaining problems: doesn't support text chat, no way to do a browser logon to secure public WiFi network access points (although apparently Belkin has just announced a deal with one provider).

so far I went back to FutureShop and was able to return them (way past the first 30 days).
I never owned a Creative MP3 player, (but I don't like creative's soundblaster audio drivers.)
Hopefully it's better than the previous MP3's I've tested.
I don't mean the features, I mean the longevity and firmware support (for bug fix updates)

Apparently I just got the Zen V Plus for free. I was browsing the accessories hot deals on the side beside the Dell Day's deal and the price of the Zen V Plus was crossed out and beside it it said +save $400 instantly. So i put it in the cart and low and behold it came out to $0 plus free S&H. Got confirmation email too. Details of the savings in the cart says it expires at the end of today.
