seems like a good price for a 22''. has DVI and VGA ports. since all 22''s are designed for windows vista, i would *assume* that this LCD supports HDCP. but don't take my word for it. Call Lenovo if this is important to you.

what exactly does hdcp do?

basically, it allows you to watch *protected* video content in its original resolution. without that, you will only be able to watch it in a reduced resolution.

HDCP is a form of Digital Rights Management. Bluray and HD DVD use it, so, if you want to be able to watch bluray or HD DVD movies on the monitor (whether plugged into a bluray/HD DVD player directly, or playing with a computer), both your monitor and graphics card will need to support HDCP, or you won't see anything.

so if u hook up my ps3 to a monitor without hdcp,, the games will be in lower rez, and the movie will be in lower rez?

good specs and good price. but tough to say until some reviews come out. plus i have had horrible issues ordering from Lenovo (IBM was much better) so I consider their customer service to be a negative.

you can get an equivalent monitor from Acer and Benq for about $380. $420 for a viewsonic, and $450 for a Samsung. so I wouldn't take a chance unless it compares very well in a review (which i have yet to see).
