Well it took me 6 days to find my wii, I started hunting down for raving rabbids today, so thats day 1... lol I wonder how long it'll take me to find this game :).

When I was looking for this game at markville mall I did see other games like

Trauma Center
Metal Slug
Far Cry

this was at TRU. TRU also received PS3's today at 4:30pm and was sold out within an hour. But when I got there (this was 8:45pm) some chicks were picking up a 60gb pre-order so it was yeah, meh don't want a ps3 anyways.

Is it fun atleast, like party wise?

I checked zellers this morning at bridlewood, they are rayman-less :(. They had tons of Twilight Princess in both gamecube and wii. Going to STC later today, hopefully they will have the game.

I agree. But Rabbids is more fun in multiplayer, especially the simultaneous multiplayer minigames. It's probably the best party game for the wii so far.

Some of the minigames require up to 4 sets of wiimotes/nunchuks for 4 ppl to play together, however.

it can be a pretty tiring game though... even more so than boxing!

Stock wise, I have seen it in most stores in the Richmond Hill ares, including bestbuy, walmart, and even sams club.

Rayman might not be as fun if you are playing alone and trying to complete the whole game in one sitting. But this is by far the best party game ever (lets wait for Warioware and see if it will beat this). Last Thursday, Friday, and today, we have Wii parties and have people warm up with Wii Sports and went absolutely NUTS on Rayman. People are all laughing hard and rolling on the floor, cheering and jumping up and down when they can throw the cow out!

And we are ALL above 25 of age.

Wii wins big time IMO in the battle against PS3. I managed to get people that do not even play video games before to refuse to give the next guy the remote.... and my in-laws always coming to play bowling. That says it all.

After a 2 day search looking through

- 3 best buys
- 3 futureshops
- 3 wal-marts
- 4 eb games

I found a copy (finally) at the 3rd EB located at Woodbine and HWY 7, there's a loner EB in a plaza and they got a fresh shipment this morning (10am saturday) cause when I asked for it, the sales rep took it out of a box. Haven't got a chance of playing it yet, but my friends and I are coming to my house to try it out.

Is Rayman better than Monkey Ball as a party game?

I haven't played the Monkey Ball, but I am playing a loaner copy of rayman.

We finished the whole game, story mode is o.k., but the most interesting part is the score mode (a.k.a party mode). And believe me, from those 70 mini games, there will be some YOU WILL REALLY LOVE!

Based on what I see from youtube, monkey ball is cleaner fun, rayman is more silly and crazy fun. (e.g. one of the mini game in rayman is a short dash race, and the objective is delivery a time bomb to a bunny, so the bomb explode either on YOU or on the bunny)

To me, monkey ball is a family fun, rayman should be rated PG-13 for their jokes on the games. If you want spoiler, check and see if you could find the soccer mini game and you will know what I mean..

I think both are good fun! But if you like crazy stuffs, rayman will be a better bowl of soup for you!

How good rayman is? Well, even my father-in-law spent 3+ hours playing just 1 mini game (The mini game name is ~ Bunnies can't herd)...... And he hold my Wii overnight... (Just kidding, but he did ask us to leave since we have to work and he doesn't, and he asked us to leave the Wii with him......)

BTW, my father-in-law usualy don't play video games, and even Wii sports does not interested him at all! But Rayman hook him up really nicely! :)

Since I haven't actually played all the mini games in either of these titles, I was wonder which game have better SIMULTANEOUS multiplayer play.

It seems like the few mini games that I've in Rayman, one player just take turns after another (to play vs computer) and you try to beat each other scores.

while in Monkeyball, I've played some mini games where all the players are on the screen at the same time competing.

My friend brought over his copy of monkeyball today and yes in the majority of the games you do play at the same time. I started Rayman before monkeyball but couldn't play because I had to start 1 day of storymode first before I play score mode or something like that. But I did manage to play the cow hurdling game and it was funny! lol

This is really good info for monkey ball! You are correct on the rayman, some of the games for mutliple players need to take turns. Plus you need to finish that game in story mode before you could play it in mutliple players mode. Luckily my friend bring his save game with him and he only have 3 more levels to clear. With a team of different skilled players, we clear the game in no time!

But as my friend described, it is really difficult for him to finished it all, since not everyone is good at all different mini games. He was really weak on music games and I was trained from beatmania period so music game is a simple task for me...

About 70 minigames.

There's a small handful which are the same games but have a different twist or tweaked to make it a bit harder.

There are about a dozen pretty good mini games in Rayman that are simultaneous multiplayer. Some of them are (don't remember the real names): milking cows, pounding the bunny on the head with a hammer to give him a big lump, shaving sheep, go-go-go-stop, a maze, avoiding ghosts, shooting moving bunny with plungers etc.

They make really good use of the nunchuk and remote. Of course, this means you need to have 4 sets of controllers to play Rayman with 4 players.

Most of the mini-games that are sequential multiplayer are quite fun too.

My take on Monkey Ball vs Rayman is that MB has fewer minigames (and not as fun, IMO), but has a better single player game. Rayman has more mini's and is more fun (also a more perverse LOL type of fun), but the single player mode doesn't have much to offer.

I would recommend Rayman as the best party game for now. That'll probably change when Wario Ware comes out next month and Mario Party 8 comes out in March.

Plus you need to finish that game in story mode before you could play it in mutliple players mode.

For anyone getting Rayman, I would recommended downloading a save file from here first:

http://www.wiisave.com/index.php?dlid=25

It'll enable all the mini-games in multiplayer mode right off the bat. You'll need it when family is over during the holidays.

You can always start another profile in story mode to play it from scratch. The mini's will still be unlocked.

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. Was about to post complaining one has to finish the story mode before getting all the mini games. Imaging telling your guest to sit/wait while you spend hours unlocking each games. YEAH, PARTY TIME.

O.K. back to the topic, me and my friend got 3 copies already, so there are only 7 left, good luck guys!

It is in the middle row, 5 copies on the shelf with the protection case, 2 copies inside the window shelf.

I guess after this, I won't check RFD as frequent as I were since I got everything for Wii this Xmas. Thanks for those who sents the truth and useful information, happy Wii gaming and merry christmax to all!

They will sell it to places that buy it and resell it as used....
