There are two steps in verifying the Paypal account. One is to add a bank account and the other is to give them credit card number. I did the credit card number one but need to give them a bank account. The thing is I heard is to not give them the bank account to Paypal. But then you would not be verified potentially losing many chances in buying things as maybe some stores require a verified paypal account to pay for items. What should I do?
Thanks

It's true that you should be wary about giving out your bank info in general, and especially to unfamiliar companies that might do something nefarious with the information. Paypal is a major player, has been in business successfully for years, and is legit. I treat my Paypal account as a main bank account, pay bills from it, keep my US $ with them as my savings bank as their interest rate is among the best available. Giving them your bank info also allows you to transfer funds between your other bank and your Paypal account, in both directions. It is safe.

Wait, how does PayPal pay you interest?

the reason why people say not to use your bank account is if anything bad happens to my paypal, they can't take money away from it
