hey all
i'm looking for christmas presents for my neice and nephews, and i'm stuck on what to get them....my neice is 3 yrs old (she's actually turning 3 on the 31st), one nephew is about a year old, and i have a 7 month old nephew...
i've already bought clothes for them and they're already wearing it, so i've concentrated on buying the parents something, but they've all told me they don't want anything from me (you know how family is)...so i've thought about spoiling the neice and nephews again and buying them something else to open on christmas day...
is there anything in particular i can buy all three of them? it's a little difficult for me because their ages range from 7 months to 3 years...
btw i don't want to buy them toys because their grandparents already do that, and they have a lot already as it is...i wanted to give something more useful...
separate gift ideas would be great too...maybe a board game? clay?
i was thinking of buying them stockings and filling them up with candy, but they're too young to be eating sweets (and my neice's parents don't allow her to eat candy yet)
thanks for any suggestions

One of the best prezzie's my dd's ever got from was a small 13" tv with a Vsmile system...the 3 year old will LOVE it....the younger two will enjoy it as well and it's a learning system, so they will keep using it. My 5 year old still does!!
The Dora/Spiderman/Princess TV is down to $49 at Walmart!!

They will already be spoiled by people. Kids already have too many gifts (at least, that's the case with my son). Instead, we bought him a tiny gift since the family will give him a few and we are spending the rest to buy toys for the poor people. There are kids out there that might not get anything... so yeah, get them a little something and then give the rest of their toy money to poor kids. :)

something practical:
RESP brochure and a cheque for whatever you want (in case the parents havent set aside money to take advantage of the govt grant)
Another couple told us they wanted BATTERIES...esp Ds...all those toys eat up a lot of juice

how about books? lift the flap, the animal touch & feel type, there's lots to choose from. Just get the board books and you won't have to worry about ripped pages. Educational as an added bonus. If you're in the GTA, try the Samko warehouse, there's tons there at a reasonable price.

As a parent, we like to get books, clothes, and RESP money. No toys (unless it's race car tracks or trains that I can play with!).

My hubby's Uncle always got our daughter a mint set every year. She now has a large collection . Got her interested in coin collecting at an early age.
