Kind of pissed off that my university calls me up while i'm studying for the exam during this week. And this call was about donation. As soon as my i spoke up on the phone in an angry tone demanding who this was, they hung up.
I think the season asking for donation is already gone since they already done this in sept. Does anyone know where i can complaint about this in ryerson.
What i don't understand is that students suffer already by loaning money and tution fees and shouldn't they target the grad students?

Exactly! Most students are dirt poor or very cheap.

I can't believe these schools have the nerve to ask for even more money from us. They're kind of shady about these things too. They called my dad while I was on campus about donating to some bs like the Math Tutorial Fund or something like that, claiming that I had been going in for help there :| They were asking for over $1000  I was pissed off that they were trying to take advantage of my unsuspecting dad.

ya, UBC keeps asking for donations.
They try to be friend and crap, and ask how are you doing after getting a degree, and I say I serve fast food at the mall.
Then they really don't know what to say.
Then I say, your education is useless, I cannot even pay back my student loans.
Then they try to look up an appropriate response in their book, but they cannot find any.

I am a graduate of three different universities.....so I get a LOT of junkmail and phone calls as an alumnis. Trying to sell me life insurance or credit cards or just plain begging for money. I've always liked getting the alumni magazines....but the next time I move, they aren't getting my new address or phone number.
Enough is enough from these guys. I already PAID for my education....I don't need to pay anymore.

I tell them I'm too broke from them sucking every penny out of me for the last 5 years. Pisses me off too.

That is the best response I've ever heard. I think will model an equally sad tale. I think I will be 'looking for employment' as no one will hire a York U grad. Sheesh.
