A month ago, I bought a used DVD Rom for my GF's laptop. It took over a month for that guy to ship the ROM and it was only shipped in a regular envelope w/o any protection. It was also full of dust and I had to clean it out.

After installing it in the laptop, the ROM does not work and will not read any CDs. So i e-mailed the seller and told him the situation but he refuse to issue me a refund. So i took the case to paypal and now they are investigating it.

THe seller already left me a positive feedback because i paid immediately upon auction closure. If i leave him a negative, can he retract my positive feedback and leave me a negative as well?

I dont think he can retract his feedback. But he can leave a comment after the fact.

Also if he left you negative you can always fight it by filling out some form to get it removed. Search eBay for more information on their feedback section.

afaik, once someone places a feedback it cant be removed until both the seller and buyer mutually agree.
