best option .. go to futureshop or bestbuy .. they quikck but they charge liek:

-futureshop - $50 Install + $5 Parts +$14.95 for harness = $70+tax
-Bestbuy - $45 Install + $5 parts +$14.95 for harness = $65+tax

Search Yellow Pages, Car Audio
-Drive around to some car audio places, $35-$40 Install +$5 parts +harness $9.95 = $ 50 -55 NO tax

Plus: you will love the deck 8400 i got one too, got it instaleld frm futureshop cause i am impatient and i wanted it instaleld the same day i got it.. there for paid premium .. but its amazing.. one of the best decks.

STFU who the hell are you? I know its simple but when you have lots of money and little time, you hire someone to do it for you. Try it, you might feel rich.

what a ******** statement! Is that why Best Buy and Future Shop make a killing on installs? Hmm because their customers are idiots right? Looks like YOU are the idiot

Also I can do it for you, but ive never done an eclipse before. It would have to be after the 15th though. I can probably get it all done with harness and mounts for $60 flat.

yeah I know.. its his assumptions that got me riled up. There was a time when I would get my hands dirty and just do it myself. I prefer now to help someone make a few quick dollars.

Anyways, still lookin!

lmao :cheesygri ;) ofcourse your an idiot if you go to futureshop to get your stuff installed, and your a bigger idiot if you pay the sky high prices for their car auto crap.

FS and BB almost always have someone with subpar knowledge about car audio (compared to specific shops) and all MOST of these people are good at are just about deck installs, and even then you have to find the most experienced one to be safe. Do a search, im sure you will find many rants.

Take it to a shop, pay the same price or evne less than FS or BB but get it done by someone who knows what they are doing. Also dont go to new and unknown shops as they are no better than FS or BB.

Try Auto Sound Design.

well, i dont know.. if u take it FS or BB, atleast the liability is covered for u.
I know most shops will obviously fix anything they break, but u MAY run into problems.

I know someone who went to a private shop to have a deck installed. when the install was done, there was massive scratch on the passanger seat (apparently where the install put all his tools). he asked the shop to repair it, but the shop owner refused saying he didnt do it.

So just becareful.

Go to jaketec in scarborough. just be prepared to wait a long time....

And you think FS and BB are any better? There are many stories like that about FS and BB.

I actually had two of my old systems installed at ASD and have purchased countless Alpine head units from there. Great service. Still, I know there are people out there who would like to make a few extra dollars and save me a few in the process. Still lookin!

Flame, I still got you in mind. I'll send you a PM if nothing comes through

I agree and dis-agree with this^^, in my 99 civic, i had oem deck unistalled and a sony deck installed by BestBuy, apartenly I foudn out that BestBuy had hard-wired the sony deck, which is really bad. I found this out after my sony deck broke and i got my pioneer one. But i got my pioneer one done from futureshop only because i needed it done at that day and i only had a few hours to kill, and all shops were booked.

Plus happend to a friend of mines.. he was getting a normal panasonic dekc installed form a local audio shop, they put in a harness and everythign and instead of taping or twisting wires to together they soldered them so back that when he took out the system he had to get his car re-wired. Apparently soem of the wires were cut and horrible job done.

So my suggesiton MKM, get it done form professionals, and WATCH THEM!!! .. I still didnt watch them second time, but i should have.

ANYWAYS, get a good place.
