Direct link to vote: http://www.nhl.com/allstarballot/index.html#vote (he's on the write-in list near the bottom of the page. You can vote as many times as you want.
Q: Why Rory?
A: Good question. Everyone has their reasons for voting, but the general consensus is that Rory is the perfect representative for all the players who work hard "behind the scenes" and never get any recognition.
Q: Isn't the All-Star game supposed to showcase skill and talent above all else?
A: Depends on how you view it. Myself and many others view the All-Star game as an exhibition for the fans. That said, the fans want to see Rory Fitzpatrick...simple as that!
Q: How about using an automated program to vote as many times as possible?
A: This has been brought up a bunch of times and it's been firmly decided that we are NOT in favor of using automated voting methods. We believe that not only is it immoral, but we don't want to take a risk that the NHL will disqualify Rory votes.
Q: Do you guys really expect to get him into the All-Star game?
A: Absolutely. There is no other option at this point. If you're reading this Rory, clear your schedule for that weekend - you're going to Dallas!
Right now he's 12th in voting for defensemen!
Defensemen
Scott Niedermayer Anaheim 233,522
Nicklas Lidstrom Detroit 214,789

Dion Phaneuf Calgary 110,544

Robyn Regehr Calgary 34,552
Lubomir Visnovsky Los Angeles 31,664

Wow funniest post ever. You want me to vote a defenseman to the all star game who has career stats of 226GP, 9G, 18A, 27PTS, -50. Hell hes 16GP, 0G, 0A, 0PTS, and -2 on the season. Hes a marginal hockey player at best, and does not carry teams like some of the better defenseman. This is ludicrous, how about we vote in some lifetime AHL'ers as well, you know to round out the roster.
Heres an idea, while were voting in this nobody, lets petition for Wade Belak to go as well. His lifetime stats are 356GP, 7G, 19A, 26PTS, -32. Everyone in Toronto knows hes All Star material, so lets go out of our way to deny a skilled players spot for some nobody, that is more a liability than an asset.

I don't think you guys understand what the deal is...the whole point is to not take the All-Star voting seriously. I voted for him the other day, will again whenever I remember.
There were some Canucks the other day wearing "Vote For Rory" t-shirts or something...and I heard there were signs in Edmonton the other night too.
And as to why there are no Toronto players, take a look at the list and you might just be able to figure out why.

He's not being mocked. They're not voting for him because he sucks, they're voting for him because he's one of these journeymen defencemen that every team has/wants and who put in their dues year after year but get no recognition. And it points attention toward the ridiculous voting system for the All-Star game.

I agree with the idea that the All-Star game is for the fans, and they should get to see who they want, but why would you want to see Rory Fitzpatrick?
Would you rather pay to watch Rory play or guys like Lidstrom, Pronger, Niedermayer and Phaneuf...its just taking a spot away from someone more talented and more deserving IMO.

The NHL needs to stop fan voting and only base it on results and possibly players votes.

Think a much better system would be to have the fans votes count for one-third - coaches another third - and players the final one-third.
I believe they do that in another "major sport" or something similiar.
This way the fan still has an influence on who plays but helps cut down on the "ballot stuffing" or the "popularity contest" it has become.

I said this when I first heard about it. No **** hes not gonna go, he knows this is the fans trying to stick it to bettman. Why should he go to the allstar game, get SCHOOLED and embarrassed? So the fans can say "we sure showed bettman, the team with rory on it lost by 20 goals."

This is an embarassing, no-win situation for all parties involved.
The NHL looks like an idiot for allowing multiple fan votes.
Rory's become a little pawn in a phenomenon that has gone out of control. He's not going to tell fans not to vote for him; Canucks PR division would never let him do that.
And the fans look completely ridiculous with this fanatic voting nonsense. If they wanted to make a point, they could have over-voted for an all-star caliber player instead. There may be an actual player with a once-in-a-lifetime breakthrough yr that will get shutout.
Last year, Toronto fans had a write-in campaign for Alexis Rios for the MLB All-Star Game. He actually garnered a good number of votes in the process. Something like that is commendable, not this mob mentality with Rory.

He isn't a bad defenseman, he won't get schooled and noone wins by 20 goals.
He may just go, he is gonna talk to the players around the league and see what they say.
The one thing that sucks is that if he does go he will most likely take teammate Matty Ohlund's spot who is around 7th in voting for D men and has been quite good this season.

Some guy from Buffalo started a site about it and then it caught on with Sabres fans(since Rory is from the NY area and a former Sabre), from there it became big on the Canucks forum and then Canucks fans caught on and then it spread like crazy everywhere. Now Rory is coming up on #1 in voting for Western Conference defenseman.

Of course the fans are influential - they vote for the starters. :)
I think the NHL should end fan voting and have a different way of voting for starters - perhaps a vote of NHL players.
