I bought an xbox wireless adapter and the signal is too weak in my basement. going wired.
Do they take returns on opened goods?

If it's within 14 days (or however many days it is) and it's in good enough condition for them to resell it.

or you can wait for few weeks and see if anyone work at superstore here might answer your question
they have a 14 day policy, as do every other major store

they have a 14 day policy, as do every other major store Superstore (as in Loblaws new format) often takes non-food items back without receipt (i.e. outside of 14-day period), but they make copy of your driver's license and they wouldn't give you cash (just store credit). Did it coupla times before with child clothing. But clothes were untouched with all original paper labels attached.

I work at a Superstore out west, and let me tell you, we take back A LOT of crap. Couldn't imagine what we have in the back of customer service sometimes. Usually CS is pretty good in doing returns giving you your money back with receipt. As well seeing as it is the christmas season, they should be a little forgiving with the 14 day policy IMO.
With what yorker said about not having a receipt, store credit is what you would most likely get, but sometimes it comes down to what type of person you get helping you.

Ahh dug this up so i didnt have to make new thread (yay me)
but since this is outdated, i was wondering if anyone knew the return policy for consoles? and if its a full refund or instore or exhcange only. thanks for any reply!

What is the Superstore Refund/Exchange policy?
Merchandise returns will be considered for exchange or refund within 14 days of purchase. The merchandise must be in salable condition and accompanied by a valid cash register receipt, some items such as pierced earrings are not returnable. is it that hard to read the back of the receipt or give them a call or even go to the god damn store and just (try to) return it? people these days just come on rfd and ask the most stupidest questions.

I heard that all major chains let their individual stores set their own policies, It helps create a unified national company and distinguishes then from the independent stores with their own policies.

In this scenario you could read or ask about the return policy when you're in store or otherwise before you make the purchase.

some stores do not take back opened consoles since you might have tried to mod it and broke it in the process. If they don't take it because they say its opened then just tell them that its broken then they will take it, usually a full refund but it depends on the sales person

|Hi i just wanted to tell you my experience at the super store it was not a good one one saturday me and my husband purchased a sony play station 2 before buying the play station 2 i ask the cashier is i could return it if it didnt work he said yes with you have 14 days i said ok i will buy it then we went home and the play station didnt play the dvd only played the play station 2 games in it so i talked to my brother and he told me to bring it back it was not working good so i did on the 22 i toke it back to the store only 4 days after with all the recipt and even the plastics that come with the play station 2 i am a muslim woman by the way i went up to the woman i told her i got this play station 2 on saturday and it does not work the way its meant to she just said her is the company number contacted them i then told her that the guy had told me that i could bring it back if i had a problem she said no sorry i said he told me he would exchange it she toke the play station out of the box and said to me this serical number does not match the box that it came in i asked her are you saying i stole it i was very mad but still stayed calm all the people where looking at me i told her to go get the manager she then said ok but i can do nothing for u she went to get the store mangers because she was the department manger i wanted the store manger she didnt come back for about 20 minutes then a girl came i asked her if i buy some thing from your store (superstore ) can i bring it back if it dont work she said yes she come back down and she told me i can give you another playsation 2 my husband then asked her why u giving us another play station if u say the box dont match the consuel she then said we are not even going to go there she then opened the other play station 2 the new one that she was giving us she showed us all the things inside the box my husband said hey the number is not the same she said oh dont look there its here u need to look i asked her for my playstation back i wanted to look at the number i was so hurt by all this i look at the number and it did match the box i asked her to say sorry and she said no and just walked away my husband just imme=igrated here in canada 2 months ago he now wants to go back home im so sad the manger didnt do anything too i feel like it was because i was covered i i am a canadian i know how it works my uncles is in jail for doing that i work for the provincial security it dont make since and this play stations 2 does not work too im scared to go back to the store what should i do help me please

I some how feel that I am not getting the full story here.
I find it offensive that people state that the customer service/cashier personnel was judging them by race simply did not get their way. I work at customer service and if I don't return your item or allow an exchange it is because it is against policy.
The store phone number is written at the top of the recipt if you are so concerned about going in store (Why, I have no idea) then call and ask to speak the manager about the situation. Calling the customer service staff racist or discriminatory is probably not the best way to go though.
