Nice! I have the e130, which isn't a video model, but these SanDisk players are top of the line.

Well future shop had the MX4 E260: Reg Price 219.99 - Discount 40 = 179.99 less $15 coupon = 164.99. This is for 4gb.
It's sold out...SO my point in posting is what's the difference between this
e260 prefixed with MX4 and the other e260 without the prefix MX4 and is priced at 219.99?

The MX4 version has slower transfer times.

Interesting, I was wondering about this for a while now. Where did you find this info?

Poked around on some message boards....can't find them right now...
The MX4 is rated UPTO a certain transfer speed and the other is rated AT that transfer speed. That is the only difference I have discovered.

Hello all, first post.
While in Michigan BB in the summer, bought three. I had to return them. IMHO it had fantastic features but very poor sound. The volume had to be set to 90-95% of max to able to listen. Guess I am old school but no bass treble controls only preset eqalizations.
Listen to other non ipods, all seem to have the same problem. iriver sounded the best but maximum memory is 2GB. Hate to admit it , the ipod sounded excellent but weary of quality issues.
Can anyone recommend something that sounds just as good?

I have found the best sound quality with Creative and IRiver.

Thanks Prod. I will check out Creative.
In the end, it is the sound that is most important not just features.

Defective in what way?
The flash formatting seems to corrupt easily, and it gets hung when trying to reindex. aware of all the threads on anthingbutipod etc
somtimes error checking, reformat, upgrade works sometimes not
"bl"sod- black screen of death, if it only happen on one would take the chance but this is the secone one, two different memory sizes....
embedded processor devices should never get into a state that they can't recover from...

FYI: I've read alot of not so good reviews for the video portion of this device.
But hey - for $130 for a 2 GB brand name MP4 player - It's about as good as a deal you'll get without ebay or getting a no name player (which might be a better choice for video playback but that's another story).
