Every time he touched the puck he was booed tonight. Give me a break. The guy knew what he was worth and went for it. He was a bargin last year, you think he's going to play for an offer that's an insult? I know the Canucks couldn't sign him because of the salary cap, but why hold it against him? I was looking forward to seeing him play and I kind of hoped he would score - although I didn't think it would end 1-0.

Am I the only Canucks fan who still likes Anson Carter?

Am I the only person in the world who feels sorry for Kevin Federline?

The Canucks supposedly offered him around 2.2 Mill but he rejected the offers and went for 3 Mill to Columbus. Also he acted as if he was a goal scorer, the Sedins made him a goal scorer.

Just look at his numbers this year compared to last year. He is nothing without the Sedins settting him up. The guy had one good year because he was playing with 2 really good players and he acted as if he was a 3 Million dollar player, Columbus was the only team dumb enough to sign him and we all know thier team isn't going anywhere too soon.

I think these are the numbers:

Canucks' offer: $1.9 Million for 1 yr
Carter seeking: $3.0 Million/yr for 3 yrs
Carter got: $2.5 Million for 1 yr

Yea I think you're 1 of the only Canuck fans that still likes him. I never liked him because I never really thought he was any good. He is just like Jason Allison... A big fluke. He just got lucky last season. He played with the Sedins who set him up and he was lucky to be at the right place at the right time. I'm not a hardcore fan of the Canucks but they are 1 of my fav. canadian teams.

His style didn't fit the new NHL and yes, he was slow. He still was able to put up the numbers.

um..this is all great and all.. but the point remains, that colombus offered him a better deal, why hold it aginst the guy if he took it?

i know i would much rather make 3mil than 2.5mil

Because fans are idiots, that's why.

When Patrick Roy was hung out to dry for 7 or 8 straight goals because his Montreal prick coach didn't take him out of the game, he finally turned to the coach when he was pulled to say that this was the last game he would play for his team again.

He is arguably the greatest goalie the NHL has ever seen and single handly won both cups in the 80s and 90s for Montreal....so what did the ungrateful Montreal fans do when he came back with another team to the Forum....the idiots booed him of course.

Also he acted as if he was a goal scorer, the Sedins made him a goal scorer.Carter is a 30 goal player without the Sedins. He wasn't a rookie last year. In fact there are a few of those types who aren't on pace this year either. He'll need to adjust and get scoring line ice time and that may happen now that Hitchcock is in town.

Columbus was the only team dumb enough to sign him and we all know thier team isn't going anywhere too soon.

and neither are the Canucks :D

I say more power to him if he could get more money elsewhere... would you take a job at less pay somewhere when you could get more somewhere else.

It's a business, you seem to forget that.. teams have no loyalty to players, why would players need to have loyalty towards a team.

They also boo'd Pronger in Edmonton, and only a year ago Pronger played a major part in taking that team to the Finals.

Some fans are more often than not, rather dumb.

Canuck fans have no respect for anyone. Take the draft for example, they booed all the canadian GMs, especially JFJ. If Lindros was to come back to Toronto on Dallas to face the leafs, I bet you hed get a cheer or maybe even a standing ovation. He didnt help much, but when we needed him he stepped up. He helped the team. Carter helped the canucks too, even if the sedins "gave" him goals.

He won't even get close to 30, he's on pace for like 7.

We booed JFJ because he is a joke and Montreal and Ottawa were not booed. We cheered Ovechkin :)

Yeah hes a joke... he helped make a team that wasnt supposed to go anywhere, get to 5th in the conference. He made the team way younger, he built them for now and the future. Their on a slump now, but i can bet you that the team will either pick it up, or JFJ will try doing something.

Anson Carter is a good third line player most of the time.
