I was wondering about both of these fats. Which one doesn't leave the body, or is that just a myth. like you can never get rid of trans fats. I'm saying with constant exersize and proper eating can you remove them?

Sat Fats bad...but can be natural
Trans fats very bad....not natural....
The whole transfat industry started because the health guys forced saturated fats out....go to vegetable fats they said....oops...these were actually transfats.....as most natural fats are not as stable; hence the transfat...
Eat healthy foods that are not processed and don't worry.....

Exercise does not affect your lipid levels as much as you would think. You can be an absolute athlete, but if your filling your veins with transfat you are at risk.

Newyork just banned trans fats, the first to do so. I don't know how you can eliminte them from your body, but I am assuming a healthy, moderately active lifestyle will help

They simply pass through you. If you reduce or eliminate them they just get replaced by whatever fats you are putting through you. Of course some damage has been done by it regardless, of course a lot of the damage is reversible with moderate exercise and a healthy diet.

research has shown that 5 grams of trans fat a day lead to a 20% increase risk of heart disease.

Trans fats are worse. They are build up in your arteries more easily than saturated fats, though both are bad.
Better fats are unsaturates and polyunsaturates.

actually, if you are a i. non smoker ii. don't have diabetes iii. no high blood pressure iv. fit/exercise/not over weight v. good diet...
your chances of atherosclerosis (clots due to plaque build up) is significantly lower (obviously~~)
also your diet should consist of more soluble fibers (ex: oat bran) so the cholesterols from your diet have a smaller chance of getting reabsorbed by your boyd (since the soluble fiber will tend to bind to cholesterol, but by how much i don't know...)
conclusion: maintain healthy lifestyle and LIMIT your trans fat intake (although that is hard sometimes :;) your total fat (trans/sat/unsat/poly) should be like 30% of your diet with 20% consisting of the unsat/poly right? so transfat should be looooooooow....relative to those 2 AND saturated.
you're better off eating saturated fats...
edit: and i just bought some oreos too :( **** marketing

u can do without any transfats.
however you do need saturated fat as it does serve a variety of purposes (testerone and hormones need it). But Saturated fat should come from wholesome sources. Of course, you still shoulodnt exceed 15-25gram of saturated fat per day. (of course this is a rough outline depending on your size frame, and level of activity)
