Deals or Promos @ Apple

Hey guys,

I need to buy a new macbook for school and was wondering if there were any promos going on at apple. I get a student discount at apple, but was hoping to find a promo, something like "buy a new macbook and get a free Ipod" or something. Any help would be appreciated.

The Black Friday sale more than likely will offer $100 off of the MacBook - which is no better than the Student discount.

If you're waiting for the "Buy a MacBook, get a free Nano" or something, you're gonna have to wait till late next Summer - that is when they usually do it - before school, and before they release a new Nano.

Best deal for MacBooks right now is if you live near an Apple Store (Toronto or Montreal) and call them to see if they have any "refreshed" versions of the CoreDuo (not Core2) - the 1.83 is going for $799, the 2.0 Superdrive for $999 and the Black one for $1199. (If you can find them).

Unfortunately I need the upgraded MacBook for what i'm going to be doing in school. I guess i'll wait a bit more to see if they give out any christmas deals. If not, i'll just use the student discount.
