I would also look at the Uniden 5.8's

I've had mine for about 5 years now and am very pleased with it. I am actually waiting for it to fail so I can buy the bluetooth version.

i got what u'r looking for and its a great phone...

saw a 3 handset at costco the other day for less than i paid for my 2 handset from sears...

We once purchased the Siemens refurbished...the most expensive phone we've ever had and it was garbage!!

Maybe things have changed with refurbished goods.....now Open Box...that's another story!!
