Hello folks,

Does anyone know what the in-store price is for Xbox360 consoles? (Premium bundle preferred). The Costco online price is around $560 (including shipping) for the premium with two wireless controllers, but the same can be had at Dell.ca for about $500 including shipping. It seems as if Costco hasn't updated their pricing... I don't live near enough to a Costco to check out the pricing instore... Does anyone know what the in-store pricing is on console bundles?

Thanks in advance,

Shneebs.

Bump! :arrowu:

I got my cash back cheque (from my Gold membership) so I'd prefer to get the XBox 360 from Costco... :)

Thanks,

Shneebs.

How about you buy the xbox at futureshop / bestbuy (with the free GoW) and buy the games at costco... ?

Does anyone know where 360 is currently the cheapest for the premium bundle? Anyone caught wind of any Boxing Day sales?

I'd say bestbuy, at 500$ - 30$ off (amex coupon, 30$ off 300$) and you get GoW for free along with some other stuff.

It also lists HD component cables on the list... is this standard?

Yeah, standard with the premium. And you do get advanced war fighter and arcade with the FS / BB deal. You also don't have to wait for it to ship and can exchange in store if you get a defective one...

Huh. I was hoping it'd be alot cheaper.
FS had a good deal this or last week, premium package with GoW for $449.

Well, here's to hoping for a $400 premium on Boxing Day!

Yeah, standard with the premium. And you do get advanced war fighter and arcade with the FS / BB deal. You also don't have to wait for it to ship and can exchange in store if you get a defective one...Very true... but if I wasn't clear, the $499 Dell deal comes with *two* wireless controllers instead of one. But yeah, I'd take the Gears of War deal over the Dell deal for sure. :)

The FS / BB deal is cheaper by 10$... since with dell you'd have to purchase GoW anyways! :D Your best bet would have been to pick it up at FS on friday (50$ off for same bundle) and get an extra controller... 510$ for everything + taxes (which is what I did)

Update: I emailed Costco and told them their pricing seemed high compared to the competition. I also pointed out that Dell.ca had a very similar bundle on for $499. They replied and said that their bundle with two controllers also included the Play & Charge kit which the Dell did not, so that at regular price (Dell's regular price is something like $558), their bundle was still a better deal. Regardless, they also mentioned that they'd be updating their bundle pricing within the next 2 weeks, but they did not yet know what the new bundles or prices would be.

Heard Microsoft is releasing a GoW bundle sometime soon. Could be good for those who didn't want to take the current FS promotion. Who the hell wants to play Ridge Racer? You couldn't give that game away.

I think you need to take into account the unlimited return policy of Costco into consideration. The MS one is what, $60? With the failure rates of X360's I think it's something to consider.

I'd love to see a GOW package with 2 wireless controllers for $499 from Costco. Work in a WiFi link or HDDVD if you really want to make it sexy.

That's kind of what I got:

I ended up going to Best Buy tonight and had them price match FS for this bundle... they didn't have Ridge Racer in stock, so they offered me another game (Kameo). I didn't want that, so I asked if I could use the credit towards a second wireless controller and they said yeah. I also wanted the 3-year service plan (don't trust the reliabilty of these Xboxes), so I asked if I could get a bit more off. They agreed to give me the controller in the bundle (RR6 credit plus warranty discount). So in the end, I paid $499 for the Xbox Premium Bundle w/ GOW, GRAW and an extra Wireless controller + $90 for 3yrs piece of mind. Not too bad I thought... I'm pretty happy :)

Hmmmmm... I just checked the Costco.ca website this morning.... The Premium bundle has been removed from the site... maybe they're in the process of updating their pricing?.... (as per my previous post)

wow, that's a sick deal. i have to sit down and compare this to the other futureshop deal coupled with the $50 of $500 coupon.
