In them arket for an HDTV, 32" LCD. I have the following two models in mind, haven't checked them out in person yet but was just looking for some feedback.

Sony Bravia 32" KDL32S2010 for $1500 (http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/ProductDetailDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=1003057)

or the

Toshiba 32" 32HLV66 for $1300 (http://www.toshiba.ca/web/product.grp?lg=en&section=2&group=6&product=6262&category=)

EDIT - I didn't notice the Toshiba has a built in DVD player, so I'm also throwing in the Toshiba 32" 32HL86 which doesn't have a built in DVD player and cost $1000 (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10075864&catid=23521&logon=&langid=EN)

I was initially going to get the Westinghouse 37" LCD (w1) 1080p LCD that sells for $1500 at Best Buy. We have one of these at the studio I work at, connected to our HD system for real time previews and it seems pretty nice for the price but the fact that it doesn't have a built in tuner killed it as an option.

I'm mainly looking for a TV to play my 360 on (via VGA cable), view DVD, maybe HD-DVDs if I get the HD-DVD drive for the 360. I would also watch SD TV and maybe over the air HD channels if I can get any (downtown Toronto area).

I'm really looking for a VGA connection, a built-in tuner, and best picture quality that I can get in my price range.

I would like to stick to $1500 (or less) as I'm only going to have this tv for a year, then I'm off to Australia for a year so I'm not looking for an investment piece (if there is such a thing with electronics).

Any suggestions or alternatives would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've always owned Toshiba TV's personally, so I can comment on their durability and excellent picture (esp. brightness and contrast).

However, Sony's Bravia line is great. Is it worth $200 more? Probably - IF it's made in Japan.

I would say take a look about the Sharp AQUOS LC32D40U. I have the T.V and am quite happy with it. HD looks amazing on it particularly sports..
