I'm thinking this is cheaper that buying it by the pound.

the bar is a simple standard dumbell bar with spinlocks.
those plastic weights are hand-weights, as you can grip each individual plate for resistance instead of using a dumbell bar

I went into canadian tire and saw this:
http://www.canadiantire.com/browse/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444291 4645&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396672238&bmUID=1163881536152

Its for $47 + tax. Is this a good price? It includes a barbell and dumbell as well.
