Paypal question

Just a quick question about paypal.

I have an auction on ebay and the guy has requested payment via paypal.

I dont really want to use paypal because of all the horror stories... but I guess I really dont have alot of other options.

Anyway,

Is it possible for me to make a paypal account and accept payment from a credit card without putiing in any financial information like my credit card/bank card and then buy something else to get rid of the balance?

I dont want to add a credit card or bank card to my account because I'm scared of all the different posibilities.

You are auctioning something? If so you don't have to take paypal, its your auction, do whatever you want. Tell them to send you a money order.
