I got Final Fantasy 5 Advance for 14.58$ at Future Shop !!! The Wal-Mart publicity says that the game is 16.88$, and I went to Future Shop to use their pricing policy Cool

You'd want to get a DS not a GBA. The GBA has Final Fantasy's I & II, IV, V and VI (to be realeased 07)and the DS has Final Fantsy III (Releases Nov. 14).

I picked it up at the Islington / 401 Walmart in West Toronto. I got one for me and 2 copies as gifts for my nieces. Saw some kid buying one as I was leaving and there were 5 or 6 left when I left the store earlier this evening.

This game is a SNES port, it will play on all DSes of course, there was no need to make it a DS exclusive. So both GBA owners and DS owners can enjoy it. To Duckdown, what's crappy about that?

The upcoming FF3 is to be a DS exclusive though with vastly upgraded graphics.

Picked it up today at the Walmart on Trafalgar Road and Dundas in Oakville. Shows as ~$35 on the shelf label, but rings in at $16.88 at the register. They also have flyers scattered all at the end caps of each section which show the $16.88 price, and if it did ring in at the higher price, I had multiple copies of the flier to dispute it with.

if you can't find it just by looking for it, just ask the sales rep. when i got my copy this morning, i couldn't find it either, so i went and asked the dude, and before we'd even got to the glass cabinet told me that the games were on their sides so you couldn't tell what game it was and that the shelf price of $33.XX was not correct. So i don't know what the deal is, maybe they're trying to make it look as if they are sold out or something even though they aren't. anyway, just ask!

I finally picked mine up today at bestbuy...

while I was at it... I told them Tetris was 23.83 at walmart as well... and they just gave me the pricematch on their 39.99$ tetris!! so I got both games for less than 40$, brand new, taxes included.

picked up a set of Altec Lansing computer speakers AS2221 as well, for 40$ on special, great quality compared to my tiny laptop speakers!

Lasalle Walmart got them also for 16.88$, only a few left. I bought two then ran to FS and PM it for 14.57$. I got it from showing them the receipt and the ads, so they wouldn't been to bother calling there as it's like choas that morning. :D I return the ones at Walmart right after.

Didn't know Walmart still had any, went on Sunday and they didn't seem to have any of it. Futureshop Victoria is known to be VERY anal retentive about price matches. They once told me the competitor only had 2 left in stock so its limited quantities and they won't price match.

It doesn't matter what the consumer understands. It depends on what THEY understand and they don't understand a lot. At least Victoria Futureshop proves this. Never had a problem price matching in Calgary, Nanaimo, Vancouver, Toronto..... only in Victoria.

I think the limited time only policy is the worst BS since all sales eventually end so when are they not limited time only? Victoria Futureshop says when a retailer permanently drops their price, then it is PM-able not when its in their weekly flyer. :lol: But I think the CSR that said that has been fired already.

a lotta times for me it's about convenience.

if the competitor is miles away and an FS/BB is near you, why not try to PM? you could prbly save some time/gas/$ going to the competitor to buy it...
