Guess what?!? (I suppose you've already guessed because you obviously read the title of this thread...)
Deerfoot Mall Wal*Mart has the PicooZ helicopters in stock finally at $29.##! There are only a few of them so go quickly if you want one.
I know there is a thread in the expired section but I thought I'd put a new one here because this deal is new for Calgary and I never look in the expired deals so you might not, either. Then you'd miss this...

SWEET! If anyone goes to get one and there's only a few left I will buy them if you pick them up. Everyone in our office seems to want one :)

was that the only location or did you see them at other locations too?
How many were left? I really want to pick up a few of these.

I went to Deerfoot Walmart only to pick up some other items and since I had to cut through the toy section, I went by the remote control aisle and was surprised to see the PicooZ. There were only 4 on the shelf where I grabbed my two. But I didn't think of looking any further on other shelves or up above in the overstock so there may be more of them.
It may be a bad assumption but I would think the other Walmarts in Calgary must have just got stock, too. I never checked.

crap, I have a lunch meeting otherwise I would so head out! Do they come with rechargable batteries or do you have to provide your own?

I'm sure by the time I got to Walmart they will be all gone...

they dont come with any batteries. You will need some (not sure how many to be exact) AA rechargeable batteries for the controller, but nothing for the heli as it gets its charge from the controller.

I checked Marlborough Mall's Wal-Mart and there was no indication of them, no empty shelf space where they might have been either. :(

I went back to Walmart Deerfoot after lunch and the helicopters were sold out. I never asked the staff if there were more but the shelf was empty....

I'll check the northland location today after work. Has these been sold elsewhere?

The box states that they need 6 AA for the controller.

Was this deerfoot mall or deerfoot meadows? Because wife just walked through Deerfoot mall and says there isn't even an empty shelf space in the remote control stuff where these could have been?

It was Deerfoot Mall, not Deerfoot Meadows. They were on the middle shelf in the last toy aisle which has toys on one side and sporting goods on the other half.
However, they were gone by the time I went there after lunch (I got so excited when I saw them that I forgot to go get the cereal I was there for, so I went back after lunch.) I'd ask the staff if they have anymore.

I picked up the second last one from the Deerfoot Mall location @ around 12:05 pm. I guess someone grabbed the last one immediately after I picked up mine. I couldn't find more: I looked on top of the shelves and I went through almost every shelves in the toys department (I didn't venture into the Barbie isle, though... )
BTW, there is no Walmart @ Deerfoot Meadows... yet :D

did the rounds in edmonton yesterday. South common, West End, Spruce Grove, Sherwood Park and Leduc - none anywhere and most places have the tag removed claiming the item is discontinued...

In fact it has been... probably due to problems with the tail rotor cracking above about a month of playing and Walmart getting too many returns?

I noticed a lot of these on eBay last night. They even have a knock-off not made by Silverlit that is identical and a bit cheaper.
