My daughter is turning 5 in December and all of the places I have called are booked already.
Here are my ideas so far:
McDonalds (don't want to do this, EVERYONE has done it already)
Swimming party (kids are too young)
Bowling (boring)
Scrapbooking (expensive, too complicated)
Ballerina party by local dance company (booked)
Pet Store party (new store, won't be open in time)
Art Gallery (booked)
We don't really want to do the party at our home as we are finishing renovations, and we don't really want to rent a hall.

We are looking for ideas we haven't thought of before... but would prefer an organized party by a company, such as the above. I live in a small city that doesn't have too much to offer. There are no other restaurants that do parties, and we don't have a chuckie cheese or other kid's entertainment place.
Any good ideas?

Do you really think 5 year olds have any interests in art galleries??

How about Chuck E Cheese?

I see those rooms at movie theatres. Ever think about that?

do you have a Loblaws? they have cooking class parties which i hear the kids really enjoy. My friend did her daughters with a local gymnastics place, they took the kids through tumbling & trampoline etc, my daughter had a blast! which city are you in or near, if you don't mind?

We did my son's 5 yr birthday party at Chuck E Cheese in January and everyone loved it. The kids had a blast, and the adults had some time to themselves to talk.

As for Chuck E Cheeze, read the original post. 40 minutes away.

And the art gallery.... it is one of the most popular birthday parties in our city.
The kids go and get to make crafts, they don't walk around and look at the art.
We don't have a loblaws either :(
We are located in Woodstock, Ontario.

My son was just invited to a 5 year old girl's "Dreams come true" party, where all the girls are to dress as princesses, and it's basically a Disney princess themed party. It's at someone's house, not an outside venue. The girls seem very keen on it, as my son should be, as the only Prince Charming there. ;)
