I am just wondering which mp3 player is best in overall quality price & space. The one that is the best value for its money & overall features including battery life & ease of use.

I have read a lot of reviews & haved decided these 2 brands Samsung 4G MP3/Photo player (YP-Z5As) silver for $228.95 Best Buy cost more anyone else

Creative Zen MicroPhoto 4GB black $ 149.99 Best Buy or
Creative Zen Micro 6GB MP3 Player - Purple(no video capabilties has voice recorder/fm tuner) $149.99 if bought online at Best Buy/ or I could PM future shop Creative Zen Micro 6GB MP3 Player - Purple for the same price

I am not planning to buy online I want to know which is the better deal for the MP3 player as I plan to buy this as gift for someone.

I read many reviews between Creative & Samsung

I thinking that Creative Zen Micro 6GB MP3 is best based on price & storage space 6GB for $149.99 versus Creative Zen MicroPhoto 4GB for the same price but plays video/see pictures.

Please let me know which one you would get convince me with your agruments.

Thanks

I have a Zen Micro 6GB and it's pretty good. As a note though, you need to add mp3s to it using the Creative software. Can't just drag and drop since it uses an internal file system for organizing the files. It stores the file information in the file system when you load the music onto it, thus needing the Creative Software.

It's a great player though, and I don't see the point in buying an mp3 player to watch videos/view pictures.. so my opinion of the ones with photo/video capabilities is that they are overpriced and not useful.

What do you mean in best quality? Sound ?

If it is, then just look at the specs: on Signal/Noise (S/N) ratio. Pick something like >90 dB or higher. And if the player doesn't specify that, then I'd stay away from it.

manufacturers specs mean NOTHING. also most of the user "reviews" are just personal USELESS opinions that state audio quality (very rarely is audio quality of DAPs professionally tested)

choose a DAP that fits your budget and form factor, all the big names you'll find out there are really competitive

Video? Cute at first but like the cameras on cell phones, who really uses it?

I have a 5G and am happy with it. Get better earbuds than the stock, that will make a bigger difference especially if listening to it while outside.

Who the hell uses cell phone camera or video?

Even the telco's admit it wasnt't the cash cow they had hoped for.

Phone camera, perhaps... but I use the video on my mp3 just as frequently as I use the music player. If I'm on the go, music.... if I'm sitting around, then video.

i must be wierd then.... because i use my cellphone camera a lot.

i don't always take my "real" camera out wherever i go, so my K750i is utilized as a "goes everywhere i go" camera (granted the pictures it takes is NOWHERE near the quality of a real compact camera like my SD700IS)

it's adequate for those moments you just have to capture something (say a cool car on the road, unique vandalizing on some truck, you get what i mean)
