Ok, for the intent and purpose of this thread, I shall refer to any and all MP3 players as iPods, so don't think I'm purposely excluding any players for what ever reason.

Well, I noticed a trend, a rather strange one at that about people's iPods. I have heard it on news radio, news shows and have seen it with my own eyes where people would wear their iPods almost every waking second of their day. What baffles me is that these same people will often work on a computer but will still have their iPod playing on their desk and they have headphones on. I understand the sound isolation bit, but why not play what ever it is you're listening to on the desktop? So that bit of it is strange and confusing for me. For me, the moment I sit down on my desk here at home, my player goes on the desk and is neglected. I sometimes even neglect to charge it which really pisses me off because then the next day I pick it up and it's already drained almost.

Well that's really all I wanted to say about that. It's a strange concept to me why people would still listen to their players at their desk.

P.S iPods, iPods, iPods

A lot of the time at work people can not use service or use computers for there own fun. That is part of the reason so they bring there ipod.

My work computer is slow enough as it is without having an mp3 software using up valuable resources as well.
Much more simple just playing stuff off the ipod w/o worrying about maintaining different lists (since IT hates having mp3's and other possible illegal stuff on the HD).

i bought a set of ipod speakers for my computer...i later just couldnt resist the refurbed ipod 60gig deal, so i bought that to go with my speakers. So now i used that when i sleep at night cuz it has a remote control, so i can change songs and what not w/o getting up. Otherwise, i still have my speakers connected to my computer, so when im on the computer, i'll be using that.

i use my ipod shuffle for everything else, ie going to school, working out, etc.
