I am SO disappointed!!!!!!!!! The entire concert except for TWO songs was the new album. No Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, NOTHING! Just Hallowed be thy Name, which was the very last song. They should have mixed it up, throwing in the classics for the old timers (which made up more than half the crowd, ages 30++) along with their new stuff. I took my 11 year old son as a surprise and he knows the 80's stuff from me and he didn't know one song. He was really looking forward to the old stuff too. There were quite a few parents bringing their kids I saw. Even the energy of the crowd went up 100% as soon as they played the last two songs. I know you have to promote your new stuff, but this was way too much. And the Eddie that came out was really lame, give me the big haired 80's version anyday! Maybe because i saw them in 1985(?) and it was an awesome show, i was trying to recapture that concert and my expectations were too high...i dunno. But you can't not play the classic tunes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To quote Comic Book Guy (who btw was sitting next to me)
WORST SET EVER!

That sucks. And that's not typical of Maiden, usually they give fans what they want, the 80s peak stuff. The new album is pretty good but it doesn't come near their classic songs. I was going to go to this show but thought it was too expensive. Guess I didn't miss much.

And of course Maiden will never match their 1985 self, which was their peak (recorded on the Live after Death album.) But that's disappointing, you expect to hear Maiden staples at a current show.

No Flight Of Icarus ?

nope. according to comic book man, they played 8 of the 10 songs on the new album. Then, took a 3 minute break, came back played 2 old songs and that was it. he's been to all their shows and said this was the shortest one yet. still pissed about it for that kind of coin....

I was considering going to the show, so i started checking their set lists for this tour's shows and it seemed like a really dissapointing set...so decided to opt-out...

I decided not to go, as I don't like staying up on weeknights:) especially as Adrian Smith was back in the band.

Now I don't feel so bad.

How long was the show?

No Two Minutes to Midnight?
