Here's a web site that lists a buch of credit cards with 0% balance transfers

http://creditcards.com/balance-transfer.php

I just did the citibank transfer for 12 months no interest. I plan on checking back at that site in 12 months to get another balance transfer until my line of credit is all paid off!

Yeah, I wish we have similiar sites for Canadian Credit Card.

I'm still enjoying the 0% transfer from Citi bank and using the money for investment purpose. I also got a letter from Citi bank last week to increase my credit limit. They may have figured out that they can't make money on my card and want me to use the extra credit for purchases.

they probably sent you the increase because the balance transfer put you near your credit limit. a lot of card companies will automatically increase your limit if you are near the credit limit already.

If you're just looking to pay down some debt then who cares if it's an American card or not? Actually, if you're looking to pay off debt, the less places you can use the card, the better off you'd be! :D

I did a BT (to my bank account) without activating the card. There is no need to activate the card to do a BT. This way you won't be hassled by the reps trying to upsell you 100 varieties of insurance.

I managed to get in on the 12 month no interest deal with the Citi card, I signed up online. I entered the account info for my other credit card and my line of credit while signing up for the card, recieved the card and activated it - in that order. The agent tried to sell me all that insurance stuff but I just told him no thank you and was done with it.

Now the card sits quietly in a drawer while I continue to pay down my line of credit balance that still remains. I lowered my credit limit on the card that I carry around with me and when it comes time to pay off the card I will simply get another "one year no interest" card, put as much of the balance from my Citi card and Line of credit as I can on to the new card and cancel the Citi card. I figured that by doing this I will save about $700 a year in interest. This is DEFINITELY a hot deal if you're trying to pay down some debt.

Yes. You can write yourself a BT cheque and deposit right into your bank account.

I do this all the time with my RBC visa, which has a constant 3.97% BT rate.

Is it possible to enter a chequing account number in balance transfer section of the application and have then deposit it directly?

Or do you write yourself a cheque when they send it? Do you have to request the convience cheques or do they just come with the card?

And there's no mention of BT fees anywhere that I see, are there any?

I apologize for the newbie questions - I've been doing this with my cards in the US for a short while now, but never thought of doing it in Canada b/c I didn't realize there were any 0% offers out there.

Thanks

YES. In fact, I had originally put the my PC Line of Credit account number, and the Citi rep called me and told me that it would be easier for them to do the BT into my bank account. So I gave him my chequing account info, got my full credit limit deposited (confirmed at 0% for 365 days) into my chequing account 5 days later, and then transferred it into my PC Plus savings account where it is earning 4% while I decide what to do with it. it turns out that bank account numbers are not valid (due to the number of digits) on the online app, I guess it went through initially for you because your LOC number is a credit card number. Guess I'll just have to do this the old fashioned way.:|

Back to n a m's question.
Anyone know if I can somehow apply this to an existing citi mastercard?
Or will they let me get a new one?

I used to have two CIBC visa cards, then CIBC cancelled one which apparently happened automatically by their system because the name and address were the same..
When I explained to CIBC that I always had two in the past, one for business and one for personal use, they worked around the system for me by using my name with EXP behind it for the second card (EXP=Expenses).
Worked great for a number of years with CIBC Visa - wonder if something like that would work for citi. I could use another 0% BT for a year.

the hardest part is getting the first 1 or 2 cards. after about 6 to 12 months of having 1 or 2 cards, you can get a lot more choices, and the income won't matter as much, just put down a reasonably high amount and it'll probably work.

Can someone please confirm either way? I wanted to apply for the card, but not sure how you can take advantage of the 0% balance transfer as I don't have any outstanding balance transfer, ever?

For example, if I have to enter a credit card number but i don't have any outstanding balance transfer, so the money from Citibank would become a credit on this credit card, right? Then I need to order some cash advance cheques from that credit card company to take the money out, correct? I am worried that the CC company will charge hefty cash advance fee if I do it this way. I signed up for the card about a month ago and I used the promo code in the first post from the expired deal section (the new code will work just fine). I just left the BT section of the online application blank and submitted it with enough info for them to give me a card.

Just because you get an offer in the mail (or here, RFD) for 0% does not necessarily mean you will GET 0%. It all depends on how good your current credit rating is. Most of the time, if your credit is good enough (as it was in my case) you won't have to worry and you'll get the 0%.

Once you receive your card in the mail, you'll have to call to talk to a rep to perform the BT. Just have a check ready with the checking account info where you want the money to go. BEFORE DOING THIS, CONFIRM WITH THE REP THAT YOU QUALIFIED FOR THE 0% BT...you don't want to do a BT at 19%...trust me...

After about 5 days you'll get the cash in your checking account. I'm still waiting for mine but I called them mid last week, so I'm giving them till wednesday before I call to complain. Assuming everything goes well with my home sale in next few weeks, I'll prob take the amount and invest it somehow...but at the very least it'll sit in my PC Financial 4% savings account while I make the minimum payments each month to keep my account in good standing.

Hope this helps.

Yes. If you miss a monthly payment, the 0% BT is REVOKED and interest starts at 19%. So make sure you make the minimum monthly payments to avoid this! If I remember correctly, it'll be about 3% of the amount owing that will be due each month.

If you do a BT with this card, do you need to pay back some amount each month so that your credit score is not affected?

I'm kind of out of the loop about balance transfers and all, but could someone just give me a quick heads up for my situation?

I'm a student, have a Visa (applied for it on my 18th birthday and had it ever since), $2,000 limit, never accumulated any interest (1.5 years I've had it), always paid in full the day before the payment was due.

I might need $1,000-$1,500 extra for school (to pay for tuition come Nov. 15th). It's not a big deal, I think my parents can lend it to me, but if I can someone get something interest free until the summer when I'll be working again, it'll be a bonus. So, can anything be done through this offer?

If you're a student, you probably don't have the minimum $20,000 annual income...right?

Well, technically, yes. However, this is all hypothetical, I'm just learning, and who knows, maybe my parents can do this too.

I started reading at this link (http://www.mymoneyblog.com/archives/2006/08/introduction-and-warnings-about-0-balance-transfer-offers.html), and I couldn't really believe it.

So, basically, with this offer, you apply, get accepted, then ask for a balance transfer (which in the link above I concluded simply means asking for a free loan?), then the bank grants this to you and sends you a check (the money doesn't even have to be used to "pay off" a credit card loan?), and then you make the minimum payment every month before the due date to have the 0% offer + pay back everything by the end of the 12 months?

Did I miss something (little or big, its important)?

Actually, I have some interesting news.

My sister works for BMO as FSM and she doesn't even know about the Silver Card promo. And I'm pretty sure she gets the most updated news from the branch. Is her branch being slow at getting news or this is not legit?

Thanks

Uh, it's on their website.. how can it not be legit?

FYI -- Applied online Nov.1st, card received Nov.10th.
No phone calls required.

There is no reference to the 0% transfer anywhere in the literature sent, however it may be discussed when I call to activate the card.

I just got off the phone with them and they have already sent the payment request to my bank, however the indicated they don't have the best of luck paying line of credits, thus they are sending me balance transfer cheques ( not the same as the normal Mastercard cheques ), that will do the same job. I will just have to make sure they do the transfer at the 0% rate )

Curiosity getting the better of me today I called in.,

2- does more sniffing around., discovers a DUPLICATE application submitted that resulted in my FIRST being cancelled? lol. Perhaps whent he website HICCUPPED while I was applying TWO applications were submitted. OUCH. Anyway., gave reference #, and said he'd forward to some dept. to investigate. STINKus maximus. Oh well., good news since I was approved in essence anyway...now just a matter of time to receive it.

For those of you wondering about applying it to an existing citibank card, the short answer is: Not possible.

I filled out the application online, and received a letter 4 weeks later showing that I couldn't do it. So I called in (1-800-387-1616) and asked if they would be able to offer me the same 0% BT, but the CSA said it was for new customers only. I pointed out that seems like a shaft to current customers, and she said "Sorry, that's the way it is." So, I told her I'd like to cancel the card, and she said "OK, but you should know that we'll just re-open the old one if you re-apply trying to get this offer." Doh! Oh well, I canceled it anyway, I didn't need it.

SO... any OTHER cards out there offering 0% BT? Besides the MBNA one, which I've already taken advantage of.

Just a caution for all.

I signed up for this during the last promotion. It is a good deal. Just be sure when they send you the BT cheques that you are using the 0% cheques (they should have an expiry date written on them). I got the card and they sent out cheques but they were regular cheques at the full 19%. When I called they said the 0% cheques would follow. So just double check that you use the right cheques.

I had the same problem, turned out I needed to install some software. I had just formatted my HD and hadn't put flash, java or shockwave on it yet.

Unfortunately I don't know which one did the job, but I know it went through right after I did the installs.

You were able to apply for your wife on the same comp though, so my solution might not work.

Here's the scoop.

I asked what could be done.

Option 1: increase my credit limit on my CC Gold already acquired. Problem was it was already maxed. I suggested taking an amount from my Enrich., but was told only way to move credit limits around was to cancel the other one ( I know this isn't entirely correct., but meh ).

Option 2: Just reapply using wifey. Since the income concerned is a HOUSEHOLD one., we're good to gizzo.

That's how it's played out.

FYI -- Applied online Nov.1st, card received Nov.10th.

No "Balance Transfer Kit" was sent. You fill out on the applications what transfers you want. You can request balance transfer cheques after you get your card though.

I got a letter in the mail ( Nov.17 ) saying they had sent payment to my Line of Credit ( the only balance transfer I requested when I signed up ), however it has not showed up as applied against it yet. Apparently they will get rejected ( on Line's of Credit ), thus the reason for requesting balance transfer cheques as they should work without a problem.

Got my card on the 17th, I applied about 10 days before that and they did call my employer about 2 days after I filled out the application.

I called the CSR and he verified that the BT I requested on the app went through and it did but then I asked about additional BT's (I might buy a new TV with my old card and then do another BT for the 0% rate) and he asked if I got the cheques in the mail yet. There are apparently 2 types of cheques ( from what the person suggested to me on the phone ). The one set qualify you for the 0% transfer rate and the others, not sure about them. I haven't received either -- just my "welcome, here are the terms" package and the "we've sent XXXX to XXXX company to pay off your debt". The rep did say she is sending the 0% transfer cheques to me.

FYI -- although I got the letter saying they paid my Line of Credit with the balance transfer, my bank account still shows owing the full amount. Citi did say they have problems paying off Lines of Credits and that I may have to write a cheque directly to deal with it.

When I signed up with citibank for this deal a while back, I thought they would do the balance tranfer electronically.

Wrong!!!!

The CSR told me that they send the BT request to some other office where they process it and physically send out a payment through the mail.
The CSR suggested I just send one of the balance transfer cheques myself and it would be much faster.
That's what I ended up doing - worked like a charm.

Umm.. before you make a very costly mistake, you should verify that you can do 2 BTs at the 0% interest rate. I think only the first BT request gets the 0% interest rate no matter what method you use for the second. So, any other balance transfers you do will get charged at the normal interest rate. I am pretty sure on that, but, if you think otherwise you should find it in writting first before you do this...

no, they never call to check... i write down fake phone numbers all the time =)

In my case the credit reporting agency apparently tried to call, which was a total mess for several reasons.

1. I am a grad student now studying in the USA - They cannot process student cards for students at foreign universitites
2. I listed my employment as with a family company I work for during summers off
3. Listed my income to include the amount of money I recieve in a year from student loans, parents, and employment

Apparently my relatively high income and employment, that would not have been reported in the past since I last applied for a credit card mid way through my undergraduate degree, prompted them to attempt verification.

When I called Citi to inquire about my app. I was told that they tried to verify , but apparently the phone number was not valid... Tried to clear it all up with the CSR but it looks like I've lost my chance to take advantage of the offer.

Could someone offer their opinion on the net impact of utilizing an intro BT offer on one's credit report/score? Am I correct in assuming that the answer to this depends on the individual?

Example A:
- Person A has $10,000 total available credit, and carries approx. $5000 worth of balance
- If he applies for and obtains the Citi Mastercard with a limit of $5000, his total available credit increases to $15,000
- Is it true that his credit score might increase because his overall debt ratio decreases to 33% instead of 50%?
- What's the effect of carrying a high balance on one particular card?

Example B:
- Person B has $5,000 total available credit, and does not carry any balance
- Person B wants to take advantage of 0% BT offer to earn some free interest and applies for and gets the Citi m/c with a limit of $5000
- Since she never carries a balance, does applying for and using the Citi m/c to the max ($5000 balance) affect her credit score negatively?
- In this case, her overall debt ratio will go from 0% to 50%, not to mention , as in example A, she also will have one card with a max balance.
- Would this person's credit score drop (albeit temporarily and perhaps only a small amount)?

I guess my question has to do with how much of a difference is there between having a low versus medium overall debt ratio. And the significance of having one maxed out card (by way of maximizing a 0% BT offer) Assume, in both examples, both people always pay their payments on time.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Unless you are looking to get a mortgage combined with the fact you space to use on your cards, I wouldn't be too concerned about your credit score. Worse case, you need to buy a house and they mortgage place says "you have too much credit available", so you just go cancel a few of your cards.

don242
Nov 25th, 2006, 08:06 AM
It won't affect your score if you are making the payments each month. Your income:debt ratio may have some impact if you are looking to get another loan anytime soon but otherwise no worries. And as was mentioned, if you are looking to get another loan, just reduce the limit of some of the cards you aren't using very much.

if you're an average working person who has nothing not even a late library book or a parking ticket or an old unpaid bill on his or her credit report, reducing a credit limit or worrying about your balance is pointless.

Well the online application lets you fill in 2 BT entries so you are definitely not limited to 1 BT. I only did 1 BT and that one was processed but Citi and I called and asked them to send me some 0% BT cheques. I asked her specifically about the 0% numerous times, she confirmed I still had $X (credit limit minus my blanance) available for 0% BT's.

You dont need to wait for the cheques to arrive, You can call in the number on the back of the card. You can either deposit the money you want to transfer onto your credit card that you want to pay off or your bank account. There is no end date on transfers, So long as you have credit on your Gold card to do it, you can keep doing it untill the 0% promo offers expires. All this verifed by the CSR when I called in today.

Great lead... applied on the 17th and was approved on the 21st (at least this is what the CSR told me when I called on Saturday). Was told the card should be received shortly. Got a decent sized balance transfer @ 0% for a year.

Bad news was that they applied the transfer against another card rather than my 1st choice which was a credit line. If anybody else is planning to do this, apply over the phone and tell them you want the cheques mailed. I really shouldn't complain since the Credit Line is at prime + 1.75% and the card they're applying this to is at 25.99% (now 18.99% after my little chat with them).

Here's my story so far.

I applied way back around the 7th of November. About 4 days later, they tried calling my cell and home about 4 times during a 2 hour period. I wasn't able to pick up as I wasn't home, and was in class so I couldn't pick up my cell. I called back later, and they just had some questions for me, like, how I'm a student, yet I put a 6 figure salary on the application. I explained to them that it asked for a household salary, not my own, so that's what I put. Then the person (and he was very polite) asked for my own salary, and while I bent this a little (I said $15,000), it was still under their $20,000 minimum. He didn't mention it.

So now, two weeks have gone by, and nothing, until today. I get a letter saying they can't process my application until I fax (or mail) them the following: Valid Student ID (or proof of tuition payment), SIN (optional), and a Driver's License, along with a few answers to their questions (what school do I go to, and a friend's name/phone/address).

Hah, couldn't they just deny me right away? Oh well, I'm gonna fax all this in to them.

Oh, I asked for a $15,000 balance transfer.

I applied about a month ago. Got a call about 3 weeks ago to "verify my income", and then got a letter today advising since I already have a Citi Mastercard, I can;t have another.

Maybe they realized I rode out the 1.9% transfer with $4,000 a year or so ago?

So, I am sending them back their letter and cancelling my existing MC since I never use it anyways!

I didn't bother applyng for this one as I also had a 1.9% Platinum card from a couple of years ago.
I finally got around to canceling it a couple of days ago, and I'll reapply in 4-6 months.
I'm sure they'll have a good deal then as well.

I don't think you'll get approved for that amount. I work full time, with excellent credit and was only approved for 9K balance transfer.

Hah, couldn't they just deny me right away? Oh well, I'm gonna fax all this in to them.

Oh, I asked for a $15,000 balance transfer.

........got a letter today advising since I already have a Citi Mastercard, I can;t have another.

I don't understand their logic.

I had the same problem with CIBC Visa where I applied for two cards, one for personal use and one for business.
I initially received both cards and then the CIBC computer cancelled one on me (at least that's what the CIBC CSR told me when I called).
The workaround (to 'fool' the computer supposedly) was to issue the second card with a slightly different name.....it now has 'Exp' behind my name (for Expenses)...and now everything is fine.

I'm not expecting it, however, I read somewhere that its their final decision anyway, so the higher you aim just gives you more chances of getting that amount.

I'll be perfectly happy with $1,000 interest free for a year.

Quick Question: I saw in their card product information "Payment and other credits will be applied first to balance transfer amounts at an introductory annual interest rate and then to other account ….".

Is this mean that if I buy items for 10$ at the drugstore with this credit card, they will charge me ~18% of interet on this purchase untill I pay all balance transfers. This is my understanding since I should pay balance transfer first and then other items I bought using this CC. Hope it's not the case ....

The CSR told me to only use cheque # starting with 1XX for the 0% balance transfer and not those one starting with 4, 5 or 6 (like 401, 402, ....). Those one are regular cheque ... at ~18% .....

My wife got it yesterday, 33K$/year (salary) and she got a 15600$ limit, not bad!!!! I'm expecting mine soon ....

You are correct. If you take advantage of this offer with the 0% balance transfer, DO NOT use the credit card for anything else until you pay back the balance transfer. Any payments will be made to the lowest interest item (ie. your 0% BT) first. So if you use the credit card for a regular purchase, you will be charged the 18% interest on that purchase until the BT is paid off.

Sure this is fine if you are using the cheques. But why not just write yourself one of those cheques for the full limit of the card and deposit it in your bank account (savings) and then you can do what you want with it (hopefully save it to use to pay it back at the end of the promotion.)

Right! makes more sense.... as someone pointed out earlier in the thread...if paid off then get interest from ING/HSBC OR PC ....

I just received three 0% BT cheques from Citibank. I have no debts to pay off, so all the money will be for investment. I am pretty sure those RFDers who got in this deal many months ago have figured out how to make the most $$$ out of the "technically" free money.

Would anybody please share/give me some advice as to what I should do with my money ($16K) besides the well-known option: PCF 4% Interest Account? Please help guys as I know close-to-nothing about investment/financial stuff.

Thanks in advance!

depend on your level of risk. if you can handle more swings buy equities with your 16,000 but you risk losing it all. do you have 16,000 to pay in case you lose all your monies?

if you are risk adverse put the money in ING and earn 4% then you guarantee to get that and preserve your principle.

You can't beat TD Canadian Bond Index eSeries 4.4% ytd, and 6.1% for the past 5 years. Not CDIC insured, but it's low risk, since it's mostly Canadian Govn't Bonds.

You're in for 90 days though, but after that it's liquid.

The cheques with the expiry date are the ones you use for the promotional rate. The other cheques, throw them out. If you use the cheques without the expiry date they will be considered a normal cash advance and you will pay the full ~18% interest.

I just applied for a card, but how does this balance transfer thing work? Please bear with my since I've never used a balance transfer before and never had anything owing on a credit card.

Say they authorize my card with a limit of $30,000. Once I receive the 0% balance transfer cheques, I can just write $30,000 to myself and deposit that into my saving account for example? The $30,000 debit on the credit card goes interest free until October 07?

Exactly right. Just make sure you use the cheques with the expiry date on them, not any other ones they send.

You will have to make the minimum payment though each month which is 2.1% (can't remember exact number).

According to the CSR I spoke to when I initiated my 1st balance transfer, all balance transfers made within the 1 year from acceptance are at 0%. Obviously I'll call back before I attempt to do a 2nd balance transfer (once the original one gets paid down a bit), but if true, it doesn't matter which checks you use.

Did they send the cheques to you. I have the CT mastercard as well but I don't get my statements mailed so I never get any of those things.

Can't see why you couldn't do it. On top of that, the 1.9% interest is tax deductible as long as you are using the money from the BT to invest (ie. put in the 4% PC account).

I guess I could call them and see if I could get them, but it may not be worth it as some of my automatic payments get put on that card and I would have to switch them all over to another card since I would not be able to use the card if I took advantage of the deal.

The one problem with getting statements electronically is that I miss out on these offers. Too bad they wouldn't just send out these offers separately once and awhile.

Usually you get your card and then a few weeks later the cheques follow.

You can do the BT using the application if you want. There were some instances where they wouldn't do it to a bank account because it was supposed to be used to pay off debt, but it doesn't hurt to try and if they don't then just use the cheques.

I think you can also phone after you get the card and do the transfer that way but it will depend on the CSR you get. Some will be difficult especially if you are transferring to your bank account.

It is probably a little faster to do it from the application, just easier using the cheques.

My reaction is, you must know I got it, since I BT-ed the entire amount!

Have others who didn't activate the card started getting these notices on their statements? If so, what happens if you just ignore them? I'd prefer not to activate it, since previous posters have said they use it as an excuse to push their insurance products.

I applied to this deal a few weeks ago when it was 0% until Oct 07. Called up Citi today to check status, and see if I could get the Dec 08 promotion. I currently have a 2.9% (seems pretty high now) promotion card with them and they said they can't honour the 0% deal because I am already on a promotional rate.

They have advised that the only way they could honour the 0% deal was if I faxed over something that was addressed to me, or sent to me offering the promotion (I may have mentioned while I was whining to the CSR that a promotional flyer was sent to me.)

Anybody have any ideas how I can get this rate? Any emails that can be sent to me that someone else has received offering this promotion? Or any promotional letters that are being sent around that I could use? Just love the idea of free money if I can get my hands on it.

Does anyone here know which credit bureau Citi pulls - Equifax or TransUnion?

Not sure which Citi uses for credit scoring, but it reports credit info to both bureaus.

Recently I got a call from Carlson group (represents CITI) for the credit report. You have 45 days for free.

I simply cancelled my existing card and reapplied a day later for the 0% transfer.

Don't!

Did it work?

Because I was told to reapply after they made a mistake on my application processing and registered me as a student, giving me a student card. The CSR told me to cancel and reapply, which I did. However, the second application was immediately denied as being a 'duplicate'. I was later explained by a supervisor that any application within the first 6 months after a prior application will be viewed as a duplicate and be cancelled....

Did you have to wait a certain amount of time before asking for an increase? With other cards you have to wait 6 months before requesting an increase.

When I get the card could I just ask for an increase right away and get a BT on the whole amount?

Side note: I signed up with no problems using IE7

It did work. I even got an increased limit. Keep in mind that I was a cardholder for about 12 months when I cancelled it. Since I didn't need the card, I didn't care if they decided not to give me the 0% promotion.

The 0% interest only applies as long as you pay the minimum and don't use it as a credit card (just take out everything and leave it until the 0% interest rate is over). If you miss payment, it goes back up to full.

I got $4400, and I had to pay roughly $90 this month, which isn't too bad at all.

let say you get approve and get a $5000 limit
u will receive balance transfer cheques along with the credit card which u can write to yourself $5000 and deposit the cheque to your bank account.

you can then do anything you want with the money after it's been cleared. :cheesygri

Didn't they charge any service changes doing the transfer?
Even if it is 0% interest, they will still charge admin fee for the transfer, right?
I assume they treat this as cash advance.

Does anyone know what the maximum credit limit is on this card? This may be worth reducing the interest payments on the mortgage for a year if the limit's large enough for the wife and I to apply. No interest on say $30K (2x$15K) would be big money saved.

I'm getting a rate of 0.9%. Did they just increase it?

Use the P6M code.

EDIT: I would say jump on this deal ASAP since I wonder if they may be replacing the 0% deal with the 0.9% one considering some of the codes don't work anymore.

I understood the interest of balance transfer is 0%, but how about purchase (I guess over %18)?

For example, 5000$ credit on CC. If BT out $4900, and one day use the CC to purchase $80 stuff, how to calculate the interest?

Thanks!

Any purchases on this card would be paid AFTER the balance transfer was paid off.

Do not use these cards to make purchases......

Yes but gotta be careful as to how to take advantage of this....I'm assuming most will put in PC 4% and love the interest....however, i think you have to make their monthly min payment (citi)

I am thinking about the same thing.
Did anyone tried to use the money as a lump sum payment towards a mortgage?
That will lower the principle amount in the mortgage and therefore save some interest. Just need to make sure that I will have enough money to put back to the CC in 01/2008. Any suggestion? Maybe instead of a extra lump sum payment to the mortgage ...can we pre-paid some of the scheduled payment for 2007 ..... and then on every month, put some money aside to go back to the CC in 01/2008?

I think you should probably talk to a financial advisor, or at least the mortgage person at the bank.
