Is sony VAIO desktop VGCRB54G for $697 a good deal ?
Specs:Sony VAIO VGC-RB54G Desktop PC (Intel Pentium D Processor 820, 1 GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, DVD+R Dbl Layer/DVD+/-RW Drive).
Can anyone comment on the processor and if its upgradable? What are comparable desktops from Dell? Thnx.

i guess you see this in Staples. (it's not available online but as an in store clearance item). i have been tempted to buy this system but my last experience with Sony desktop is not so happy since it was a very noise one. Pentium D 820 is a very hot CPU (in temperature) so I won't expect it to be quiet either. Otherwise, this system seems to be fine, with Windows XP MCE and TV tuner. the price is not very hot, but ok or warm for a media center.

Sorry about that never seen that it's been 4 months just stating the last few months people has been putting down the newbie's without them or all us working together we can't get this sticken deals :lol:
