It's not a 1080p lcd but it's not a bad price for an Acer 42" lcd.

I just bought the 32" version for $949 and it seems to be amazing. It is better than the other cheaper brands I've seen including the much hyped viewsonics.

How come most vendors don't specify the Refrest Rate when I has been one of the main problems with the older LCD's

The much Hyped Costco Viewsonic has a refresh rate of 8 ms. I think some of the new ones has 4 ms and even 2 ms

Good question, I don't know. It would make sense for them to do that. Anyways, all the information is on the company websites so I'm guessing they just assume you'll look it up there.

Almost none of the TV's out have less than 8ms. Many LCD monitors are now using 4 or 2ms, but not TV's.

Some cheaper brands use 16ms or 12ms, but most are 8ms now. Even the very expensive bravia's from sony are 8ms.

The Acer I just recently got is 8ms.
