Just bought the Ludacris Release Therapy album and Lloyd Banks Rotten Apple today.The Rotten Apple was ok but the Ludacris album was just excellent and every track puts out a mesege.

I did not like this album very much. his first 2 albums were his best in my opinion. you should go pick up three 6 mafia's "most known unknowns" or Rick ross's "Port of miami" aswell.

I like these comments better than that OP's comments.
I'd say I'm a Ludacris fan because he's got the balance ... on this album, his Hip-Hop is credible but that's ALL there was ... there was no balance of anything else ... good or bad, who knows but overall, I wasn't enjoying the album was much.

Where's I-20? Dude rips that track on the last album ... Luda at the end of it ... "Got them guns that go ..." with the gun shots for a beat, lmao ...
And Track 5 ... BlueBerry Yum Yum ... there's none of THAT heavy bass fun ish on this album I thought.

Next single is nice but still.

I appreciate that Jay is talented and puts ***** together that you'll sit and go "How does this make sense" but as an entire piece it does.
But I wouldn't call this clippet (which the DJ is killing the ***** out of as in he just needs to let the ***** play), I wouldn't call it a "Song" ...
Maybe some freestyle on some old school horn or something but not a "Song" ...

Not really interested in that track.

If you don't like poppish-R&B then that's not you ... but you can't deny the kid is talented plus his joints are nice.
Quite honestly, the albums he puts out are comparible and often better than some of this R&B that's coming out of the U.S. right now.
Always go back to him.

All these should be out by mid-november.......I almost agreee with your picks except for Jay, Styles & Talib.
- The 3 tracks I've heards from Jay are weak. He reminds me of when MJ tried to come back into the NBA. He just ain't got it no more...he shoulda stayed retired.
- Talib's albums are just okay, but his best work was on Blackstar w/ Mos Def.
- Styles recently emerged as the best MC out of the LOX, never saw that coming, Im starting to like him more than Jada, i'm sick of Jada's monotone delivery. But his albums are inconsistent. BUt I've herad some tracks with him & Akon.

My picks for best album of the year are:

Nas - Hip-Hop Is Dead............the N? (slated for Dec 2006)

The Game - Doctor's Advocate / or Devils Advocate (slated for Nov 2006)

Pharoahe Monch - Desire (slated for Nov 2006)

The Clipse - Hell hath No Fury(slated for Dec 2006)
