OK so over my years, i've had 2 tickets..BUT both were issued by park rangers in a provincial park. I did have to pay them through ontario court of justice..so do these count? ONe was failin to stop for 3 sec at a stop sing in the park, and the other was goin over 20km and hour...which is bull cause they had no radar thing to prove it..i was gonna fight it, but couldn't give a damnreally. SO im just wonderin if I lost points, or if this counts on my record? anyone know?

one sure way to find out: get your record from the mto, I believe it's about $15.

If the tickets are more than 3 years old, don't bother, as they will not show regardless whether they mattered in the past or not.

according to the handbook...

Failing to obey a stop sign, traffic light or railway crossing signal is 3 points...
Exceeding the speed limit by 16 to 29 km/h is another 3 points..

for more detail...go to http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/demerit.htm

do accidents show up in the MTO records or not? If not, then how can insurance company know of any accidents that might have happened over 3 years ago?

Just curious...

I don't remember whether accidents show up on your record. If I find the old record I requested, I'll post whethere there's an accident section.

I would expect insurance companies to keep their own records regarding this. They usually get their info from collision reporting centres.
