No, newspaper is actually good for cleaning windows. There is ink on the newsapapers and it perform way better than other products. I use it often to clean my windows.

Newspapers + vinegar is what I've heard. Never tried it myself though.

Try using Simoniz Foaming Glass cleaner. It comes with a nice microfibre cloth but you should have one to wipe with and one to dry with. It also works nicely with a squeegee.

Never use wipes. You'll have streaks and residue.

Vinegar and water applied with a micro fibre cloth and rubbed off with lint free paper. The solution beads up if there is oil/grease/road film on the windows and should be re-applied until the beading dissapears (for outside portion of glass of course). Newspaper willl work but, it does leave a film, ink is a oil based product (vegetabel oils nowadays). It is great for house windows but house windows don't generally drive down the road and have wipers action going on.

The front windshield has something on it that just won't come off, when the wipers go over it, it looks a bit like the craters on the moon. A friend on mine sat in the passenger side and was getting a headache from looking through it. Someone told me it could be dried on water marks. I've tried:

1. Glass cleaner.
2. Rain Away.
3. Armor All window cleaner.
4. Straight vinegar.

Nothing has worked. What is the process with the vinegar? Do I wipe it on and leave it for a few minutes or wipe it off right away.

I can barely see out of my windshield and right now I'm just driving by feel of the road when it rains...not safe at all. Going to try the vinegar again.

Vinegar is just an acid and should cut any grease or oil on the glass surface.
You may have to go to a glass shop and have them polish it out.
There are products which you can apply (a rottenstone or tripoli product) and use a electric polisher on the glass. It is best done by a pro or by someone that will take responsibility for the job (in case it goes wrong).

Thanks Pete_Coach, I might bring it back to Honda and complain, maybe they'll do it for free or something.

Try a product called "Stoner's Invisible Glass" and purchase microfibre cloths for GLASS. Canadian Tire's auto section has the cloths and are green in colour, the fibres look much more finer than regular microfibre.

The above combo leaves glass streak free with minimal effort.

I have also used Stoners Invisible Glass cleaner (about 7 bucks at your local CT store). I found it to be as good as any of the others except it does not foam up. Nothing special and does the usual job.
I have noticed many folks stating not to use chemical cleaners on tinted windows. This makes sense, you don't want to craze the plastic film. I believe the discussion here is actually for the outside of the glass and not the plastic tint material, which is an interesting point. Where are all the window tint experts? What do the installers or manufacturers of window tint material say to use?
